This movie was absolutely hilarious. This is one of the best scenes but not the only one. The dance off. The little white girlfriend. The first time he has to act black in the subway walking around screaming what it is jive turkey....
This movie is so damn funny I don’t understand why this movie didn’t get much support. And a lot of people sleepy on this movie Eddie griffin and Orlando Jones should have got in Oscar for this funny scene together.

My favorite movie by Eddie Griffin other than FOOLISH 💯 I remember when my mom and dad took me to go see this in theaters I never seen a movie night so packed....Ppl were actually sitting on the floor living life having a blast (Sigh) the good old days mane but as you know life is full of changes 🙏🏿
My third year @ Penn State - Altoona was like the first week of August 2001 through the beginning of May-ish 2002 ... Google says this came out on DVD in July of '01- when I got back to my Fraternity House in early August '01, one of my Bros had bought this (and a bunch of other) DVDs at a sale somewhere ... 10/$10 something like that, picked it randomly ... we watched it one night when we were all 🍺🍻🍺 & 🚬😶🌫😮💨'd up ... and it was *HILARIOUS* ... nonstop laugh-fest .. and then, some combination of the 10-15 guys in the House at all times, watched it at least once a week for the next year ... Before people were shouting "I'M RICH BITCH!!!" & "I'M RICK JAMES BITCH!!!" from Chappelle's Show, we were shouting "NO SHILTZ MALT LIQUOR??!" and "WHATCHA DOIN UP IN HERE??! UHH UHHH UHHH SHIIIIIT!!!!" lmfao ... I love this movie & clip, brings back the memories of the best of times. 🏴☠🏴☠🏴☠
This movie was blackballed at the theater. I remember when I bought my ticket it had a totally different movie on it. and when I brought it to their attention, they told me it was fine just to proceed to my movie. this was a great movie. but I never received the money it was supposed to because it was covered up and that was my experience. I'll never forget it. that was my first time seeing what blackballed was on that scale right in front of me.

When 6 seats are sold out of 900, they tend to go bankrupt. This isnt "blackballing". it's "people dont want to see movies of few of them think this is funny". How was this acene funny at all?
When this movie came out on VHS, I was an Assistant Manager at Hollywood Video. We got our box of VHS movies for the staff to rent and preview for customers. Those always had a stamp on the film itself so it couldn't be copied and money made off it. I still quote this movie with some regularity.

He originally said "Colt Foooorty-45!" When he asked for the malt liquor. [Mandela Effect] ... if you continue watching the scene, the waiter comes back with a tall can of Colt-45 and says, "45 was a good year." Ain't that some freaky shit. Count it! -OX
He specifically said they don't have Schlitz but will see what he can do..... so the alternative the waiter brings back is Colt-45. No Mandela effect here, just drain bramage.

Saw this movie in theaters when it came out. I remember being disappointed that just about every funny joke/scene in the movie was spoiled by the trailer.
