I honestly feel like SHINee was not the best choice for this series because you literally have 13 videos of them on this channel. I just feel like it's not Double look anymore if you are already so familiar with the artist. I thought it supposed be about artists who either were only in the 1st look series or you checked them in K-pop catch up videos. But I might be wrong However I loved your reaction as usual, super excited for the rest of the episodes
@@valeryfil7469 no, I said this series is for the groups that I’ve checked out in the first look series only. No groups featured on the KPOP catching up marathons will be included in this series. I also said way in the beginning before this series came out that YOU guys would be picking who I reacted to based off of the groups that I’ve checked out through the first look series. I got over 2,000 replies and even though I have seen a bit of Shinee at this point, MANY people requested them and sent in links. So I included them cause that’s what you guys wanted to see. The whole point of the series is to look at more things from the groups so yeah…most of the groups you’ll see in this series are groups that I’ve seen multiple things from already…I thought that was clear but maybe not. That’s why it’s called a double take or 2nd look. To be honest, it’s really frustrating cause even when I have you guys pick things out somebody is upset. I’m trying to hear you all out with what you want to see me react to but when I do it’s problem so yeah lol idk sorry I included them I guess?

The base for Juliette was originally a song written for Corbin Bleu titled Deal with it. I honestly think it fits Shinee much better and to this day is one of my favorites from them.😊

It's always been a little hard for me to revisit SHINEE specifically their older MVs because of how much I've missed all five of them being together, but watching it with you feels comforting haha😂❤
I feel you. Their latest work still makes me miss that voice striking in the songs. I miss him there, and the oldest songs make me remember the happiness with every comeback, and make me wish he were still there, giving his all as always. I will always appreciate their talent though, individually and as a group. They are simply amazing.

Taemin was actually told that he was tone deaf and should only focus on dancing when he was younger. He was so dedicated, however, that he took vocal classes for years and years, was mentored by Jonghyun and Onew and... Became one of the most successful soloists in Kpop history. :D That's one of the reasons why he's my ultimate bias and number 1 baby booboo, he's so inspirational!!!

Jonghyun rewrote the lyrics to Juliet. You’re right it’s a remake. Also, Shinee was built around him so really look at his work. He’s not here but any one of them would tell you in the beginning it was on him. His writing is organic and real and his composing ahead of his age. He wrote for Shinee, himself, other artist and helped with EXO and NCT. Don’t pass him up he helped change a lot in Kpop that we have today.
Personally, i think Shinee has one of the best non-skip discographies in KPOP. Even their Japan and Solo works are AMAZING! My fave b-sides currently are Dont let me go, 1 Minute back, Get your tresure, Excuse me miss, and Alive! Please do a full deep dive for Onew, Minho, and Minho please! also, Taemin and Minho are going to have comebacks late this year. i hope you do full album reactions to Everybody, Married to the music, and Story of light series :)
aaahhh SHINee, when they came back with Sherlock I remember being so excited bc the teasers and the looks where SOOOOO cool. teenager me listened to the song on REPEAT and I tried to dance the chorus but unsuccessfully hahahaha thank you for this reaction ❤ SHINee is so special to me
So glad to see SHINee! A lot of people don’t really dive into them which is aHUGE shame bc their music is so special. They got me into the genre back in like 2009 with LLO (even went to see SW3,4,&5 and a couple solo concerts at the Artium in Seoul with my mom). Shawol for life! 💎💎
I became their fan back in 2009 too! But I've been listening to K-pop since 2007 but only Super Junior and a little TVXQ. I discovered Shinee when they performed with an SJ member when Onew and Jonghyun got sick and SJ members had to cover. It was the Ring Ding Dong era. But it was when I saw them perform AMIGO that I decided to be a Shawol 💎 I became Key biased since then 😂 Have you been part of that website forum for shawols?
IDK if they do it anymore, but SM used to have these International Fan Concert Packages and they would cover food, hotels, they would take you on tours and you could go to one or all the concerts. It was so great 😭

I ran across Shinee about 7 years ago and that was my Introduction to K-pop. They have been one of my favorite groups ever since. I love their older music the most.
1. Yes, Juliette sounds familiar because SM, if I'm not mistaken, bought Corbin Bleu's Deal with it. Jonghyun even wrote the lyrics for Juliette. I believe he was only 19 years old at that time. 2. During 1 of 1 yes Onew was injured. He injured himself during a concert, i think he bumped into a speaker. I suggest you watch that because after that injury he went backstage and then went back on because the next song was Everybody and he believes Everybody is supposed to be performed by 5 people. With that in mind, he performed Everybody with 1 leg because he injured the other, so it was extra hard. The choreo for everybody is hard enough with 2 uninjured legs.😢

It's the love story of the young boy in Replay being told as he grows up 😊 OH! and i suggest watching "symptoms", "odd eye", "hello", "amigo" for a roller coaster of emotions. And a bonus stage would be "odd eye" during the kbs song festival 2015. It's my gift for you for appreciating SHINee 😊

No one does it like Shinee. They have been one of my ults for years and I can say firmly is one of the legendary groups of all time in kpop. The fact that they’re still going so strong after 15 years and have set industry standards time and time again. Not only shows their immaculate ever growing talent but they’re genuine love for what they do.
the choreography for everybody till date in UNMATCHED. one of the few reasons it stands unparalleled is because it is so futuristic and detailed and so freakin' energetic!!! all that choreo and they be hitting those high notes like its nothing. they are insane.

I'm totally in for a Shinee Killing voice. Shinee songs are intemporal. Please watch concert and Japanese song. Yes Sherlock is a mix between Clue+Note. Actually, it is one of my fav Choreo 🎉 if you wanna check it, there is a dance practice ! 😊 EVERYBODY choreo is known ( and recognised by members ) as the hardest choreo they have ever done. Faster and harder. Onew was not there for 1of1 music video because he was revoking for a surgery. So he couldn't dance.
I'm glad you did this double-take series for shinee! As an SM stan since 2nd gen I feel a huge throwback in my memory right now and it gets me overwhelmed because i enjoy shinee's music with my JHS best friends back then. Anyway, i agree about your opinion about shinee's songs aren't feel old even though it was released in the early generation of kpop. I've listened to Replay, Sherlock, View, and many more until now, and it never sounds dull at all! I still got the energy, the vibe, and the musics are still relevant to how music is going right now. Juliette (already amazing as a base song) reaches the stratospheric tier of second gen kpop bliss because its APM (adlibs per minute) is so astoundingly high. The final section after the bridge is ABSURD. There is like a minimum of three of them shouting/belting some random shit at any given time. Pure perfection.
I started following K-pop in 2012 because of SHINee and will be forever grateful to them for that. I think there’s even fandom saying: “Once a Shawol, always a Shawol”. It’s so true though. It’s been 11 years and I still listen to them, even their older songs are so good. I kinda laughed at you with Everybody’s Taemin cause around that time Shawols started calling him Taeman instead 😂
It was SHINee who brought me into kpop back in 2012. They are my first ultimate group. And I cried watching your Juliette reaction because I am missing them so much, all 5 of them. Sherlock is actually from 2 separate songs combined, “clue” and “note”. That’s why the title is Sherlock (clue + note). You guys need to check out the whole album. It’s worth it
People can have their personal favorites, but I agree that SHINee are truly one of the best gifts to kpop and the music industry in general. Their songs are so timeless that even their older songs haven't gotten old to this day. They were always extremely talented and just fit together so perfectly that I dare say they must have been born to become SHINee together. It's a blessing that circumstances pushed them together and that we got to witness SHINee for such a long time. To this day, they are one of my favorite groups in terms of vocal talent and discography.

i just wanted to sincerely thank you for this reaction. It's been a really long time since I've heard the older SHINee songs because it's still hard to listen to their older songs as OT5. This brought back so much nostalgia and many happy/bittersweet tears were shed, but thank you for letting me revisit these songs with you.
