Just think, this man has some of the best builds on the planet and he still has one of the biggest smiles on while rippin an absolute shitbox . I love this.
I feel it, I have an E46 325ci that I've put some money into. Saved up and bought an E93M3. Ended up selling the M3 because I had way more fun in the 325.. and when something breaks it doesn't cost a fortune.
Once you hear Vtec in a B-Series, is hard to keep the smile of your face! This is why early Hondas have a cult following. Light, responsive, simple, and great cars to learn how to drive fast.
The stakes are lower in the CRX so he can go buck wild in it with no risk. It's liberating to have a beater dont have to worry about it getting damaged. If it starts and drives your good all the other shit can fall apart who cares.
@@Weekendairsoftwrrior also said shortly after that they couldn't hear the cars from outside the compound because of all the trees, so there would be more driving than they thought
Dude I just couldn’t stop smiling this entire video like a corn ball lmao I guess bexuase im a Honda guy and have been waiting for Adam to get one for so long lol
I think a lot can be learned from the popularity of these types of videos, many many fans typically who’ve been around a long time get much more enjoyment from simpler videos like this over the more complex videos that are becoming more common. Of course it’s nice to see the growth of LZ’s empire but sometimes simple is just more betterer haha
I think it has more to do with him spotlighting a more realistic (to own) car. I'm sure a complex series on a base model CRX would be wildly popular. Remember, there are a ton of people out there in their 40s who were broke college students back when the Accord, Prelude, CRX, Celica, MX-6 etc. were the realistic "when I finally start making $$$" benchmarks.
This just puts a smile on ur face.... I mean, watching a guy that has 400/500 even more hp turbo cars having this much fun in a 190 hp NA Honda.. he even said that the car was already fun before.. with 100hp... This is the best proof to stop the hate on Hondas... Hondas are fun by nature... People just hate because everyone does... And im not saying this BC im a Honda fanboy.. im a car lover... To all Cars.. its just that i drive a 92 total stock Honda with less than 90hp. And i can have fun in it even though i never drive anyother car..
I’ve said it before but the CRX content and the sounds of a raggedy Honda at full tilt hit the serotonin receptors in my brain extra good. Doesn’t even have to be crazy power; just good fun memories.
As much as this was originally taken on as a "fun beater to rip around" project, im so happy to see Adam appreciating how good a well tuned old Honda is. That smile during the pulls 10:57 cant lie. Ive driven 4th gens for 20 years now and they are so good because they are so simple. Love this for the channel.
This hands down has to be one of my favorite series 😂 idk if its how happy it makes you or what but i love it! Can it end up super mint and restored PLEASE
every time u show the CRX i get more motivated to finish mine, just to freakin hot after work to commit to it, stock motor is pulled and the GSR swap is sitting in my bedroom floor cause its 67 degrees in here lol. Get those motor mounts swapped out. I hope u continue to enjoy the crx enough to put some care into it and show ppl u dont have to always keep them clapped out lol.. oh yea also to help with rotation dont lift until u make the turn.. on throttle swing out and back in and then lift in same time . i wish i had vids of me doin it way back in the day its a blast
Adam, one thing that happens on these old throttle body is the adjuster screw backs off where the throttle cable attaches, it needs to be adjusted so the throttle body cannot close so far, we are talking extremely minor amounts of adjustment to keep it from over closing. A dab of lock tight on there and your good to go!!!
so awesome. hope it stays N/A or at least supercharged, too many turbo Hondas around, the throttle response of n/a is soo nice. hoping it gets some and nice 16 in wheels with some grippy rubber too. love this car.
I absolutely love the crx content! I tuned into the channel cuz I got a 240 and watched your drift videos, but I’m definitely a Honda head. I’m also a proud owner of a Built B20v Crx. I enjoy seeing your excitement! They’re definitely fun cars!
Adam is now a fan of honda, learning the joy of the raw feeling. Being light and low horsepower is incredible and he is now knowing the joy these shit boxes bring that we all know and love
Sick, that music is Blue Blood from X Japan. One of the most legendary speed metal bands from japan and start of the visual Kei movement. That EP is amazing!
It is cool he is starting to realize what a gem those 90s Hondasare. The CRX is the top of them all. I'm looking forward to see what's next for the Rex.
I wanted a crx ever since I was 10 and thankfully last year I purchased one. I can't wait to start working on it. A crx is the type of car that if you know, you know.
Truthfully my favorite cars I’ve ever owned. I had an ‘89 Si Single Cam w/ a jenky eBay turbo kit that made just under 400whp with stock internals for over a year before it broke and we just swapped the engine and lowered the boost until I sold it. Then I got a ‘90 Si with a built B18C that made real power and eventually went high 9sec quarters until I wrecked it. Sears Mechanic hit me in the right rear 1/4 with a customers car and totaled it. Love this stuff man keep the CRX content coming!
Add B-Series CRV steering column shaft assembly with CRV shifter. No shifter on car's floor. Japan is the first to add B-series CRV steering column shaft assembly with CRV shifter in 1992 Civic Sedan VTEC B-serie engine with 1 piece custom seat (driver seat with passenger seat are connected 1 piece, no arm rest, no E-brake handle ) old school truck with 1 piece seat.
i bought a 94 gsr the same day you first showed this love to see some obd1 dohc vtec content as i'm building mine. just got my ferrea valvetrain in the mail today
love what youre doing with this CRX ! hope you'll put the same philosophy into this car as that British guy that made a 627kg 911 by drilling holes in it hahah
having a b18c4 civic in england after watching you for years now owning a b18 crx is awesome, ive said it before you should look into importing a 1996-2000 mb6 civic vti or vti-s 1/500 made in uk rhd pirates black purple colour be a sick daily and no one out there will of seen one! they also make an estate version 96-2000 mc2 vti-s all in pirates black again, or can get a standard vti same engine etc just no lip kit and couple other extras and different colours from factory! there is someone that was looking to sell a 6-700bhp fastest one out there look up turbo mb6 draggy pulls
I don't know why but for some reason I would love to see the CRX built like a tank. Either a RWD or AWD conversion, Garrett turbo, Deatschwerks injectors and fuel pump, Haltech ECU, fully built engine and drinking ignite red. Stitch weld the chassis and turn her into a rally machine. Just saying, oh yeah, can't forget a sick Johan custom exhaust.
