They actually did a talking version of this many years ago I forgot if I saw it on laser disc or what but I do know there was a version of it out there
I watched a documentary about her recently and despite never hearing of her before I saw it I fell head over heels for her. It's true, she was always sickly which unfortunately caused her to die young. She honestly was a very beautiful woman. May she RIP

This is fascinating! I've heard of "Double Whoopee" being turned into a sound film, and now I get to see for myself. Very good job! Was the entire film turned into a talky, or just this part?
Chuck McCann supplied the voiceovers for Stan and Ollie, and did a serviceable job-but I still prefer the original. You just can’t improve Laurel & Hardy!
