Beautiful machine, the reviews are insane with even experienced journalists/racing drivers laughing their heads off. Thanks for the insight, pity I can’t afford one and would probably struggle to fit in sadly😢.
@@RoyzGarage Much better than the usual "I spent 100000$ on this" with the hands on the face thumbnails and similar garbage content put out by "Automotive RU-vidrs". This is a real video by a passionate individual. Thank You
@@gafrers haha, I did spend over 100k though🤪 Thanks for your input, I make these videos when I have some spare time, mostly for myself and some other idiots around the world who are into lightweight cars just like me. Audience is very small, but they are the ones I want to share my experience with. I will never get any kind of numbers, but couldn’t care less👌🏻
I am hesitating to order one as well, your video is very instructive, i have 2 questions, the lightweight flywheel, what does it bring? on a manual car it is an option so i am wondering if it is necessary. Same for the high performance cooling system, what does it brings, if i dont take it what is the consequence? i guess there is a temperature gauge and i can always slow down if i see that the temperature is too high? or is there another risk like breaking the engine... those options add 2800 pounds after-all and i am not planning to do a 3 hours race on a track so perhaps they are not really needed.
Feel free to message me on instagram, same name. Flywheel is only really needed on sequential, on manual it helps rev up faster…but because shifting is mostly slow it revs down way faster as well. So unless track only-> not necessary. The cooling pack is a good option if you plan on doing trackdays, on the street you wont need it very often. Indeed there is a temp sensor, if you go over 104 degrees it pulls the boost away, hence why on track it is handy as it opens up the thermostat a couple of degrees earlier and the overall cooling is better. Feel free to ask more on insta or give me a call
Absolutely no need for a lift system. Ground clearance is fine for every speedbump. It helps that the nose is very narrow in the middle and overhang is minor.
Great video, fantastic car, i love the attention to details and the fact that ariel offers so many options, it is all nice and clean. Can you tell us more on the import procedure? are you in germany? is it road legal, etc. ? i am still hoping they will import it to france someday.
I’ afraid France will be one of the most difficult countries to register🥲 There are options out there to register correctly in Germany, but still it is a single type approval, so France wont accept it, but Belgium and Netherlands will! I ordered it through the Polish dealer with a polish licenseplate, which gave me 50/50 chance in NL! I was lucky (and I know what I’m doing meanwhile after all these crazy import cars (Mono, 3-11, 3 atoms etc) Feel free to contact me through instagram @royz_garage if you want to discuss more
@@RoyzGarage Thx, perhaps 2024 Ariel will import it to the EU on small series, catherham is doing it so it is feasable afterall. Nice car, well done ;) how do you deal with the cold? is there a heater or some solution?
