I started this channel for a simple reason, it didn't excist. I am in the lucky position to be able to buy these pretty exotic lightweight cars.
When I wasn’t I always missed info about cars like Mono’s, Atoms and 3-11’s, owners just don’t seem to care about sharing the word about how much of a difference it makes to be light and windowless.
So here I am showing you my life of cars

@@johnlow8513 i have a video going through the complete spec actually. But the short version is ohlins, 350 package, TC, big brakes, forged wheels. After this video I added the wings as well. It was about 22 degrees if I recall correctly, why?
@@RoyzGarage thanks for sharing. I hope to be an owner soon too. I’m in Asia and the track temps can go up to 40 degrees and above. The civic type r here on track over heats quite fast. Was wondering if you had the extra cooling kits.
this morning i have try a little funny stuff 35 oppenents with BAC in SPA wow project car... i know it'S old but 10 laps start last (my choice) dnf but a lot of fun those car seem beetween a kart and formula.... but woth a racing car vibe strange fun honest try that 10 lap start last green light! :)
Haha, I stopped the youtube partner program, when you dont pose around and scream how many millions you spend on cars and repeat the same stupid stuff every week (better 2 times a week) they dont push you. I have a video with 700k views, so it can be done, but you need a lot of subscribers to keep it going and I have only 2 cars so cant keep the you folks interested
@@RoyzGarage I stopped caring about cars once I got a motorcycle. It's not even the cars, it's the people. But I was sick of the car community and videos long before I got a motorcycle. The main car content I watch now is restorations, track or POV driving with no talking. If I click on a video and there's a clown shouting "YO YO YO IT'S YA BOI" Im clicking off without a second thought.

Thanks! The car makes it so easy (if you’re used to rwd) Sometimes I see myself passing prepped m3’s like they are doing a different kind if sport and it scares me how fast I seem to go
I’ve owned an Atom 2, Atom 3.5, x bow, lotus 3-11 and a BAC Mono and nothing comes close to how well balanced this car is, it really puts the power down as well!

I am hesitating to order one as well, your video is very instructive, i have 2 questions, the lightweight flywheel, what does it bring? on a manual car it is an option so i am wondering if it is necessary. Same for the high performance cooling system, what does it brings, if i dont take it what is the consequence? i guess there is a temperature gauge and i can always slow down if i see that the temperature is too high? or is there another risk like breaking the engine... those options add 2800 pounds after-all and i am not planning to do a 3 hours race on a track so perhaps they are not really needed.
Feel free to message me on instagram, same name. Flywheel is only really needed on sequential, on manual it helps rev up faster…but because shifting is mostly slow it revs down way faster as well. So unless track only-> not necessary. The cooling pack is a good option if you plan on doing trackdays, on the street you wont need it very often. Indeed there is a temp sensor, if you go over 104 degrees it pulls the boost away, hence why on track it is handy as it opens up the thermostat a couple of degrees earlier and the overall cooling is better. It always seem slow on camera, thats mostly because the camera is solidly mounted, so a slide doesnt seem spectacular as well. Pov feels much faster, but the wind on the camera makes it impossible in this car. Also fast is relativ, there was a 992 gt3 cup racer on slicks, that had waaaay more cornering speed, but all the other cars felt if broken compared to me🤪
I finally got rid of the annoying gopro’s. Now have the insta360 one RS, which has a major benefit over the gopro’s…they just work when you need them. Also working on a new sound setup with far less windnoise, so next vid should be with proper sound as well
An lsd seems obligatory with these cars, tc is a choice, makes things a bit safer and it works great as it is proper motorsport tc, but times will be roughly the same with a proper driver
Nou dit was dus de test met mn nieuwe rode videomic incl dooie kat erop…maar zat te hoog achter de stoel en daar waait het blijkbaar nogal hard. Het helpt als ik hem lager in de tub doe heb ik gemerkt, maar ik denk eraan om het wellicht met dooie kat en al in een ovenwand ofzo te proppen en onder mn stoel te plakken…er is toch teveel geluid, dus als het dempt is niet erg
@RoyzGarage I'm in the USA. I just got my Mono a few weeks ago. Still waiting on license plates. But I took it for a quick drive and I love it. It's sooooo wild.
Hi Roy, have you ever driven a Mono R? or the newer Mono? They are really fun cars but the first generation Monos have this awful vibration you can feel in your back. Do you know if the newer Monos have fixed that?
Hi there, the new Mono R (dont know about the turbo car yet to come) have the exact same vibration, this is due to the engine and gearbox directly bolted to the chassis, the engine has nog floaty enginemounts. They did make a lot if minor changes which makes the package better to live with/service. Engine/gearbox and chassis is the same base
@RoyzGarage interesting! I just bought a first generation mono and while I love the car, the vibration is the only thing that I hate. It makes me want to cough. I wonder why they didn't use regular motor mounts like most cars.
Absolutely no need for a lift system. Ground clearance is fine for every speedbump. It helps that the nose is very narrow in the middle and overhang is minor.
That was the only part nót aluminum, very odd. At that time Tata steel was the JLR owner, I guess they nééded to use some of their horrible steel. Lots of parts where replaced throughout the world withing coulance warranty, within as short as 3 years
