My elders used to speak of acid flash backs wen i was bout 13 they were all bout 20ish ...now i know what they meant .. Rushing tunes ............ Gallery leeds 91 to 93 ...... 🙏🙏 And the others ...........till my end ...still at it
Needed motivating today.... Who needs a time machine, I'm back to the days of partying hard and hammering my Astra GTE around those country lanes finding that RAVE!!!!!
I used to pick up 2 of the same flyer for each rave when I would leave at the end of the night. Then I would put them up in my bedroom, on 2 joining walls, starting in the corner with the massive Dreamscape Woodstock flyer, and then position the 2 copies of the flyers so that the 2 walls were a mirror image of each other. Camden Palace was always a great place to pick up flyers for upcoming events. Even if we had not been there that night (we usually were though as Orange at Camden Palace was the dogs'), we would drive over to Camden to pick up the flyers at the end of the night!

Best set I’ve ever heard wish these best days of my life lots of drugs smoking going home when it’s light and I can’t sleep you know what I mean no food for me on the rush 😝
Oh my God!!!! Proper blast from the past, I spent many a stoned night in my mates bedroom listening to this.... Makes me kinda sad listening to it now... Wishing I could go back 😖
I had this 8 tape box set many years ago, and played these non stop. No one else was aloud to play them! Even though i've not heard these in 20 odd years till today, surprisingly I know what the mc is about to say and what song is coming next! Great memories...
Nathan Lewis I had the black MA1 ESP Dreamscape bomber jacket with the embroidered face logo on the back used to wear it every day to school in 94, even in the summer haha, also had a petrol blue Universe MA2 bomber with the higher folded over collar 😉
@@chilli-soup Nice one! I went to school near Bristol in the time. Used to buy vinyl in Replay and another place at the bottom of Christmas Steps in early to mid-90's.
The last true dreamscape what a night in a warehouse that was know as the dreamscape warehouse then become the Sanctuary wicked venue so many memories, I feel so lucky to have been then since DS 2 history in the making
Oh the memories oh to go back for a few weekends hey guys?two years after Id left school driving test passed me n my pals we raved this nation.peace n love.
Wow. Just stumbled across this vid while browsing YT, turns out to be the very first rave set I ever heard, on a copied cassette from a mate at school! Got me into the whole scene and a lifelong love of electronic dance music
I wish I was born in the right years I still listen still today from 10 years ago when I first heard them one of my uncles used to play and actually had lots of cds 💿. the cd sets wicked music ✊🏽
Im back here again just cant help it i love vol 8....(I cannot bare to see you leave me im beggin you dont go n Dougles got the flow) wiggle it jiggle it x
This has gotta be one of the best dreamscape sets ever... every track a banger, spot on mixing... Prodigy, Grant Nelson, Slipmatt, Zero B, Blame, basement records... all good!
Wow not heard anything like this from Dougal before. I got into the scene around 96-97 and the sound was completely different. Have to say this is better
Mike Bloxham at the time, this was already a ‘trip down memory lane set’ he did go off a bit too far down the happy road shortly after, if it’s on here check out his set from around early 93 at Psychosis
awesome set reminds me of how good the good old days actually sounded ...tape deck rolling on my Sony walkman volume max' d out walking tall representing the finest sect of humanity the hard-core raver.
This was definitely the best mix from the box set. Unfortunately the cassette recorder mangled the tape. So I was deprived for years from not listening to this mix. Until You tube the savoir came along.
We lived on a council estate and was all young but this one older kid would go to all the raves and bring the tapes back, always remembered 8 had the killa beats tho
Half 10 on a Saturday morning and I'm jumping round the living room like a LOON. Can't wait for Unity in the Sun in May. Get to jump around to this man playing his 92 Dreamscape set again but in the Corfu. Gotta love a rave holiday. Bring it!
Soy boys of 2020, I went raving then was back on parade and within hours jumping out of planes when I was in the Paras. Now I'm Military Police Officer 😂 but still love my Happy Hardcore
From all the sets I've listened to this time, this and Slipmatt's Dreamscape 8 one rank up there for me. Absolute quality! It's a shame things didn't last much longer after then though. It must've been something hearing tons of different music in the same sets before everything fully split into their own little styles.
Good old days! I was very fortune geographically to live near The Sanctuary and a time where anyone could get in. I was 14-15 at the time (I don’t look my age now so must of looked about 10 back then) ha. Great days... I remember starting uni at 18 and all the first years’ had their first time of freedom and I was literally a vet of nights out by then and would choose to just chill and study (and called boring for doing so) little did they know what I was doing many years before!
