I’m currently taking a free university course, about autism. A lot of these children , are used the latest one I watched was Gardner Quad Squad building a fairy village. number one in my thoughts the dad is weird, he was accused of talking to children a while back. They spend huge dollars at hobby lobby, and it just turns out to be a mess. I'm so glad he's doing better! I too grew up in a household like this and it's so hard to turn around from the damage it causes.

Eating disorders are the deadliest mental illness out of them ALL. I want to make that known first. I grew up in a house similar to this. I struggle with my weight and overeating, and my sister had an eating disorder that was basically the opposite. This messes kids up more than people realize. And it’s food. It’s something that you have to have every single day… it’s not a problem that can ever be “dealt with later.” This kind of stuff really messes with a child’s mind/body when all they have ever known is a toxic relationship with food. Even when you’re “better,” it isn’t something that truly gets healed - especially when there is so much damage done inside the body because of the food & the ways that children learn to cope with the unhealthy feeding habits they were forced to grow up with. I’m so sorry your husband had to struggle through any of that. It isn’t fair and it isn’t easy. I hope he is much better now.

Here in Oklahoma too. They’d say the kids have places to sleep, food, and “treats” they’re treated like gold. Very rarely do they remove children for this.

Same in my state, and most likely the majority of others. This isn't considered child abuse or neglect. Unfortunately, my niece is also an elementary school teacher and has seen horrors involving her students, and DCS is still unable to intervene.

I was thinking the same thing. I bet all her containers have e coli and salmonella. I wear gloves when I cook, always take them off befor touching spices or anything, and then wipe everything down with lysol wipes after cooking

My 16 year old has one. Right now she keeps a couple of lunchables, carrots, a few waters and 1 Dr pepper in case she gets a headache. The only candy she has is what comes with the lunchable. I would feel like a garbage mother if I stocked my kids fridges the way she showed.
