I did the exact same thing but I wanted to buy the Anello quilted leather backpack. I'm probably just gonna buy more stationary items for my bullet journal
i have an extremely similar one (practically the same) by a company called Seventeen London (on amazon) for only 40$! They are waterproof and have all the same features but for half the price!
I got a fake one off of Amazon called ‘Himawari’ that was really cheap. It was the second most popular result for Doughnut Macaroon Backpack. It is small, but really great! Almost an exact copy of the normal sized one!
@@stevenpage1875 I just wanted to add that if you're considering buying a fake one you should definitely buy a himawari They're an actual brand that produces multiple bags (one of them being a copy from the doughnut) and not just the name of a random fake that you can find online They're a bit more pricey but there's a ton of review about them on RU-vid that you can easily find so you know what to expect before buying one
I (used to) do, most of the time in uni, so friends are usually around and mum won't call till evening so, what's the point of bothering with it anyways!
Gaurav is correct, these backpacks are built for school, so they expect you to be actively keeping your phone away from yourself. Though, I also look for bags with a dedicated outside phone holder.
@@shoottakeapanorama6932 that's too bad, never went to a religious school, by mine did let us use our phones during nutrition and lunch. Then again I was also allowed to play my SP, DS, and or 3DS during those times, so my school was probably kinda lax outside of the classroom.
I have the standard and large backpacks, and I love them both! The standard one I use for work, bringing my computed tomography materials, iPad and plethora of stationery items. Meanwhile I use(d)the large for travel again bringing my plethora of stationery goodies and testing the limits of the bag with my 15.6" laptop (it does good when I don't overstuff it) And I'm probably going to be jumped for saying it but... I like it way better than the Kanken.
What are the dimensions of your laptop? I have an Asus ROG Strix g15 advantage and since gaming laptops are usually larger I wanted to make sure it fits in the backpack. Thanks in advance.
does your 15.6 inch laptop fit in the standard size? i really dont want to buy the large one as it seems a little too big for me, but im scared i will have problems if i put my 15 inch laptop in the standard size. (i tried it out in a store and it fit, but it was kind of tight, so im worried in practice with more stuff in the backpack it wont be functional)
@@laurienduvivier2950 It was not a comfortable fit. I think I wound up getting the large specifically because of my laptop which was roughly around 15" at the time.
I have the standard size.. and honestly the pocket strap in the front confuses me because its a magnetic button but I always unconsciously unbind the belt strap.
x . x . Nah... Please just ignore my comment. I’m just a bit shock & honestly really didn’t expect to meet ‘Archie The RedCat’ at JetPen’s comment section bc she’s a very famous Webtoon-ist.
Don't worry, unless you have the strength of the gods, or Denise the Menace as your neighbor, bags will last a few years. Certainly long enough to get through 2020. Unless this is your last year of college, then it will make a great commuter bag for your work. (I'm female, but even though I can wear purses without being frowned upon, I prefer the organization of a backpack and messengers. Purses for formal or party occasions, and satchels for out of state commutes.)
I have the standard sized macaroon (mine is light blue but I actually really wanted the colour iceberg or sakura) and after a year of using it now, I can confidently say that I truly love it. It's not just absolutely cute and aesthetic but also very roomy. I love that there are so many side pockets and small pockets on the inside. The padded straps also make it really comfortable to wear the backpack. I've actually noticed when I researched for backpacks that many backpacks (e.g. the Kanken) with similar design don't have padded straps. The only con for me is that due to the opening zipper of the main compartment being at the front side instead of along the side of the backpack, it sometimes can be difficult to take out the laptop which is at the back, especially if your backpack is a bit full. But that's really just a minor complaint. I would definitely recommend the backpack to anyone. It might seem a bit pricey but it's definitely better to invest in a good backpack that will last a long time. Now I wish they would offer backpacks with two big main compartments, I would but it in a heartbeat. PS: A cheaper alternative to this backpack could be the Himawari Buttercup backpack. It's basically the same backpack but only costs half the prize. There are less colour option though.
Is your backpack magnetic (the buttons at the front)? Because I read a comment here that says they are magnetic (on the standard one). I have the large one and I also wished that they had two big compartments.
I love the variety of colors and sizes! All of them look so nice that I’m having trouble picking a favorite. Too bad I won’t be needing a backpack anytime soon because I’ll be attending online school, but whenever it’s safe to go outside again in America, I’ll definitely look forward to choosing/buying one of these lovely backpacks. This country needs to get its whole situation together so I can go back to school wearing one of these. Great video! It was super informative. Thank you
A backpack is a very important tool for going out. It is not easy to find a suitable backpack. You introduced it very well. It is very suitable to use such a bag for painting. Thank you for your recommendation and sharing! 👍!
Are the straps ajustable so you can have the backpack sitting on lower back? In the video it looks really high up on the back but I want a backpack that goes on lower back x
I have used the Large Navy version for 3 years during my time in college/university and it has been the best backpack ever. I loved using the external “secret” back pocket as an easy place to put my phone since I was always carrying my large 40oz reusable water bottle & lunch/dinner meal around campus. (Clothes with pockets that actually fit my phone without it falling out was very rare but that’s not what this comment is about). The large size fit my 15” laptop & charger, Lihit Lab Standard Zipper Pen Case, my Big/Classic sized Happy Planner, ARC notebook, and still my usual things I carry in all my bags (a makeup pouch that has no make up whatsoever but is more so the “mom bag” that my friends call since it has pretty much anything you can need - like Mary Poppins, wallet, keys, over the ear headphones )
The standard can be enough for me to bring work-like or commuter items like my surface pro, my water bottle, and my dream crossbody bag, hell I can even fit a glasses case in it as well, However the large one can also fit not only what I just mentioned for the standard but I can even put clothes for a few days and even essentials like my toothbrush, toothpaste, a pillow, and a blanket, like if I'm going camping or a seatless van for a road trip like how I did when me and my household and extended step-relative did when dropping off someone at their college from NYC to Middlebury, Vermont. hell even perfect for sleepovers. The smol one can just only fit my phone (with a wallet case since i have two phone cases, one standard and the other a wallet), my glasses case, and just small shit i have.
I have the standard of the black serie. In the beginning was so expensive but also after two years, it was the best investment for keeping everything and for everywhere with the size and functional bags outside and inside. I really recommend.
I love these backpacks so much!! If you cant afford them, himiwari is a knock off brand, but not as nice quality. I have both and you can really tell the difference.
I have one in mini size. The straps don't have padding so if you carry heavy stuff for long stretches of time, it can strain your shoulders. Otherwise it is a good bag with lots of organization options. Will try the standard size soon
I have the black series standard one for Uni (large iPad Pro fits perfectly) Since I rarely need additional papers it’s perfect and not too large to commute
y'all would post this when I'm looking at a backpack for an upcoming trip... I like the standard size the best, but the back pocket on the large is really nice.
I bought a knock off one from amazon and the thing broke after six months. I decided to splurge on an actual Doughnut bag and the quality is out of this world
I got the Mini black Backpack, I got it for when I go to a meeting, I can bring a notebook, a few pens, water and a snack/snacks. Or if I go out for a day trip. I also wanted to use it when I travel...if I travel lol. I can also lend it to my Mom when she goes to Japan next time. I still haven't used it bcuz the Pandemic started after I bought it, so its just sitting in my room now. I wanna buy the Standard size bcuz I need one, when I go to work at night (I work nights at a Recovery House for Women). My TNA backpack always collects cat hair and I hate that! Where I work, they have a long-hair tabby cat (Stewie 💛) and he likes to sleep next to me at night all the time. So Im hoping this bag wont attract cat hair lol....I wonder if it will hold all my stuff (extra comfy pants, Hobo Wks w/ pencil case, yogurt& other snacks, water bottle &/or coffee and other small miscellaneous things). I always bring a lot of stuff and I don't know why sometimes lmao
I finally bought mine last week after 2 years of wanting to have one. I can say that I'm very much satisfied with it!! Even though it is quite expensive ( for a backpack) I don't have any regrets😊
I finally caved and bought two of them from the doughnut website bc it was only $30 more for a second one, they’re both purple and I’m so excited Edit: also, when I was on the website I saw the mini, which it like the size of a small cross body bag that can maybe hold a regular iPhone and a wallet, but then I can across the petite, which the concept is just so funny to me. It shows it next to a case of AirPods and it’s only *slightly* bigger than them. It can hold AirPods, and maybe one other thing if you’re lucky. It looks like a glorified (but still adorable, don’t get me wrong,) wallet. It makes me chuckle when I think about it lmao
I don't know if this is considered rude, so I am very sorry if it comes off that way!!! But I think that the narrator's little lisp is very charming :)
Tbh I'm searching bags for college I need a bag to carry both books file and laptop and I need outside pockets to have be secured just incase I might be pick pocket
Lol, okay...I was doing fine until the Mnemosyne popped up @ 1:57 and though I already have a few backpacks, I gotta admit I felt a twinge of interest at seeing the Black and Navy series shots. Ha, not sure I appreciate the temptations JetPens, but thanks for posting.
If you look on amazon, they have knock offs that are just as cute and like 20-30 bucks for the mini ones. There are even other videos showing the differences
Hi I was searching for how to adjust the strips of the Doughnut bagpack & happened to see your video. my strips have a button at the top attached... so wondering how I can lengthen it.. would u have a video on that? 😊
Can a standard Doughnut Backpack fit a 1 1/2 inch binder? I'm thinking of buying a Doughnut Backpack for my daughter for back to school. She's starting 6th grade. Thank you! :)
These bags seem amazing! I don't currently own one, but I may consider buying a standard sized bag in a few years when I start 6th Form (years 12&13) and maybe even buy a large one for my dad, or at least mention it to him, as he works an office job in London so he needs a bag that can keep his personals secure. Plus he also works with things such as laptops, so the large seems the perfect size for him. The mini also seems really cute and perfect for days out on holidays (we always carry snacks with us as my brother's diabetic), especially since we're travelling to mexico in the summer and we are getting a dog soon as well in a few weeks! It's due to be born today (new years eve) so we'll be getting it soon and obviously we need to carry a few things for the dog whenever we go out. If I'm able to purchase one of these bags for myself soon, I'm certain I'll fall in love almost instantly. Thank you JetPens for this video, I would have never even heard of these bags without you!
Lol I’m not sure if anyone will see this, but whoever manages this RU-vid page should add time stamps to the videos. It would be super useful for comparison purposes!
As an international viewer I would appreciate if you could also use the metric system when talking about waterbottle sizes. I don't want to "translate" everything when watching your videos. Thank you.
ok so.... i bought the standered size last year 4 middle school. it was way too small, i dont know if it was just me? even tho you could fit a 13 in laptop it was too small for all the other binders and notebooks i needed. still love the bag tho, but just be careful if you buy this for school!
Why would the fact that it has real leather be a positive selling point? I get using leather for something like gloves, where the material actually makes a difference on the quality of the product, but zipper handles... Really? That's just a waste of a life. Could as well have just used synthetic leather for something as unnecessary.
