Ludicrous... In the middle of pandemic and people losing their jobs, struggling to be afloat and to keep their own dignity, these people - the interviewer included - who claim to want to make the world a better place, to save the planet, to spread kindness, bla bla bla, making a "me, my, mine" interview is nothing short of inappropriate, disrespectful, and unkind.

This is not exactly about rich and privileged it is about hypocrisy and a complete lack of tact and compassion. Is it about race? At the time the only comments I heard personally were from a black friend who said "she is ashamed of her race - she got rid of the afro hair, she lightens her skin and has had a nose job". My own view of her was positive till I saw her talking to a group of African girls sitting in the dust and telling them she was just like them and they could end up just like her!!!! Really? And of course rich and privileged people can have all the problems you enumerate but how many have you heard going on about it like they are? William was also affected by the death of his mother. Kate Middleton was criticised by the worst press for her middle class background and waiting around for William to propose. I don't suppose she was entirely happy with it; and the working life she chose became impossible because of press intrusion. Then she was criticised for going to work in her family business because it sold party hats etc. Harry has always been a loose canon and he has never matured. Megan has a history of latching on to the rich and successful, using them and dropping them; including her own family. Her white father provided her with all the stepping stones she used to get on as a not too brilliant actress. She dumped her first husband; she dumped the family she grew up with and now she is trying to throw the Royal Family under the bus, comparing herself with Princess Diana. As for him, how can he do this? Look at their successes the severely disabled did in the invictus games - he just provided the froth. How on earth would he cope with the disabilities some of those people suffer and the added mental health problems. Their cosy lifestyle jetting around the globe at tax payers' expense was almost unbearable - what a coward. They decide to go and live in the crime capital of the US where media intrusion is the norm and crime escalates exponentially year by year and they have the nerve to suggest that the British taxpayer should pay for their safety. When William and Kate lived on Anglesey William did a normal job and Kate was able to go out into the surrounding village with just a detective. Do they think we are gullible as the people in tinsel town? Please stop defending these two self pitying idiots, save your compassion for the truly afflicted in these troubling times. Its time Harry grew up and saw this for what it is another tacky soap opera starring his wife.

Douglas does have a tendency to go off on these long monologues while the interviewer just sits and listens, which is what happened here. The issue of H and M privilege deserves maybe 2 minutes but the Oprah interview was a spectacle of its own on many levels, the grand old billionaire Queen of daytime TV unwittingly exposing her business partners as shallow ladder climbing opportunists posing as victims.
