Riding with Lee TheElevatorGeek at the Palace Hotel in South Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. These elevators were also filmed by EscalatorGeek881. Somehow the controller does not allow an up call from intermediate floor. The up button activates the down, I think they are all on same circuit to register down calls only.

Those elevators were modernized and they don’t have that problem anymore

the reason you have to press down to go up is because the panel is upside-down

The mod on those elevators by Cavinder is a lot better.

I had lived there for 9 months in 2007...on the 21st floor.

@@idonthaveaname3639 Fortunately no. But there were times during the summer when we were down to 1 working elevator for 23 floors. Not a good sign.
