So I can coo like a dove very accurately so me and this dove at local pet store used to have conversations with me. He'd coo and then I'd coo back and he'd listen and do it again. We were pals.he lived there for like 4 year
i showed this to my dove and she started cooing she is a loner her mate died it made me sad to see this she was never so happy to hear and see another dove
Bless all your souls. I know how it feels to see your lovely companions suffering because of this. It hurts most when they try singing to their fallen mate.
awww... play it to her often then :) It's amazing how intelligent these things are. They can navigate better than any GPS, so amazing that they are so tiny yet so intelligent:)
Surprisingly, I have set this as my no.1 relaxing bgm for working/studying as it's just so peaceful hearing the coos, and it is super effective Love those doves of yours!
Awww I love them so much. Your videos made me end up getting a pair, they're so fun. They live in my home with me and love to come watch me do things around the house. When I come home if I forget to greet them they will fly to the room I'm in and say hi.
petkingdom i've had these ever since they were eggs, i didn't hand-feed them but i played with them a lot why they were young, also i think ringneck doves are tame in general
lulzBrownie They not tame in general, as all animals if they grow up with human around they are used to them and not afraid of them, they simply trust you :)
Shadowriver No you're very wrong. Ring necks are very tame and are friendly in general. They make not let you pet them at first but they will sit calmly on your hand and wont attempt to bite you. Thats tame. I got mine as an adult and he was very friendly as soon as i got him (not hand fed dove btw) and all i had to do was a little work and he lets me pet him now.
Lulz haven't sent anything lately, I was one who had a baby morning dove. Just posted a shot of her with her pink ball, "fancy doesn't like her pink ball"
I have one of my own such wonderful birds. Mine is a girl sadly I can't pet her like you can yours. She is sadly blind but I adore her she is my baby. Acts like one to.
2:43 " LOOK pretty girl! going to make my grand entrance... hoo hoo hoo hehe," said the boy dove. " Later gator... !" girl dove. " Where you go? I just got here!" boy dove. " looking for a worm..." girl dove " What does a ringneck have to do to pickup a chick around here?" boy dove. Owner matchmaker intervenes. " Actually on close up she's not my type... how do I get out of here?" boy dove.
Those are the most chill doves ive ever seen. They dont even seem to care when you grab them and pick them up! I take it you've had them since they were eggs? Or before or after?
Daniel Cannata yeah they were born and raised on my shelf actually haha, i let the parents raise them n all but i played with them a lot while they were young. eventually as the mom n dad didn't see them as their own anymore I'd protect them so they wouldn't fight
Michael, my morning dove Fancy, after me having her for almost a year did get out😞 but she is one of the lucky ones. she has survived it has been over a month and she comes to the yard to eat but doesn't come to me. that's ok because I know she is still here. she is the only morning dove that I know that beats up on all the other bird's it is kinda funny to watch. my niece takes baby birds in a lot to release them when they are old enough, some make it ad some don't. it is a hard desision sometimes
