I have the SDR 12” sub bass package but I wanna upgrade to sundown since it’s a higher quality build. I think of getting the single 12” sub because I need some space in my truck.
@@JrFashionablyDope I been running the e12s for a few years now. There damn good speaker to start out with. I never had the sa so I don't know how well they will perform. But I do know there damn good speaker too. The price on the e12 done went up now. Back when I bought them they were 120 a speaker now there 180. For 180 you might as well get the sa. They can take more power then the e12. But either way you can't go wrong.
@@teeceehonda thank you for the reply bro. Yeah im definitely going to get the SA classic 12s with the profab enclosure. Also doing the rockford fosgate amp 1500. These new cars suck at upgrading your electric
@LiberalsAreTheBiggestCryBabiesOnThePlanet Comical it's tuned to 31hz. With the x12s, it will play down to 20hz. I never played 20hz on the e12. Box play from 20 to 40hz
@richardguerra1712 those are the sundown e12. They sell them for 189 now. Back then, about 5 or 6 year ago, they sold for 120 to 130, I think. Really good everyday sub. Since then, I have had the sundown x12, u12, and nsv4 12. Can't lie, tho. The e12 was a good ass sub on music outside of the u12 which is damn good on spl
@@teeceehonda ok sounds good because I have 4-12’s in my old cutlass and I’m looking to upgrade and wanted something budget friendly. I might go with these e12’s thanks man
I have 4 of the 10's in my Big Rig, and their Hittin' everyone says when at the fuel pump. I'm trying to get that X15'S sound like in my Yukon but that's not happening in this Rig. So being that I'm only doing a buget system for this Rig I'm only going but so serious with this system in here. E-Series 12's will probably give me what I'm wanting.
Also do you have stock electrical? And I know the sundown sia 1250 is supposed to do rated rms and 1 and 2 ohm so would that amp be best or the skar rp-1500
Minds is Stock for now. As for the amp. Idk which would be best but the skar rp 1500 has more power. Your light will dim at night but no big deal. Just upgrade as you go
My next build will be dd. They cost more but dd sound really good. If money not and issue go with dd. But the e12 are really good sub. Never had any problem out of them.
@@teeceehonda it's not an issue. I had a complete dd build in my denali but I changed some stuff. I had 6 dd vo 6.5s on a dd ss4b switched it out to crossfire xt pros and a jp234 for now until I get a salt 500.4 and double them up. Still have 4 dd vo b4 tweeters on a dd c4.60. 2 vo b3s on the head unit in the A pillars. Dd m5a at half on 2 dd 9500 15s supercharged, kevlar and carbon cones, direct leads, and they was glass and rope joint but I took that out to lower the fs. Next I'm going 4 sundown zv6 12s in a c pillar 4th on 2 ruthless audio 8500s. Do the salt 500.4 on 8 xt pros and keep the dd Vo 6.5s in the rear for fitment reason to keep my son from kicking them. The crossfire xt pro mids are so much better.
@@teeceehonda and I'm close with the dealer. I'm not trying to sound like I'm bragging so please don't take it as that but I can get dd stuff a good amount cheaper. Its really all in what I'm wanting to pick. From demos I have loved sundown and crossfire stuff more then dd. The new ruthless amps have been doing better then crossfire as well making a statement. Cleaner vac voltage and sound just as good. Dd is making some changes going after sundown. Especially with amps. That's why they took the dd m8000 down. I can't say what they are coming out with but it's 3 new amps coming out. Jacob fuller sold sundown tho and he's fully in development so I'm also excited to see what he comes with with being completely focused on that. If I can get my hands on 4 sundown sddn 12s instead of zv6s I'm going that route. The motor force and response is up there with the dd neos. It's insane.
@@jwatt95 yeah I see sundown is coming out with the new u sub. I might try those out. They dont look as heavy as my x12s and is Almost the same power as them. I love the power and the lows of the x12s but the sound of the e12s on regular music tho. Kinda wanna find a sub that can play both. I love sundown for demo and everyday music. Always want to try dd tho. Just the price. But I'm glad they started selling online.
@@teeceehonda most dealer sell cheaper then dd msrp that's shown online. I'd try a dealer first if you switch. And really it's in the enclosure as well. Could tune a little high and help you on the high end. Dd isn't too great on the lows like sundown if you're tuned to the same hz. Me and a buddy are both tuned damn near identical. I'm 33.5 and he's 33 on 4 zv5s. He play the lows a lot better then me but I got him on the highs. Even with having half the cone area and power. The zv6s have a higher fs then the dd 99s but you can also change that with the iron cloth and glass and rope joint to raise the fs of dd subs. Dd subs aren't 4th order friendly tho which is another reason why I'm switching. Sundown is also making a 18 with a 5 inch coil so I'm wondering how that's gonna be. Efficiency is about take a tumble imo on it. As far as 4 inch oil subs the dd z4 and dd 99 supercharged are the most effectient subs in that category but the zv6s even tho it's a 3 inch coil it'll still handle a great amount of power with the motor force, Efficiency and cooling to back it up. I used to be against running sundown sundown for the time only because so many ran it. The more demos I've gotten of the z series from sundown and the sddn I've honestly fallen in love with them. Theirs many great choices out tho man. It's always a hunger to try no new things, new products, and to be louder. Crossfire is another great choice as well. Can't go wrong with them either. The xt3s and xt4s are amazing as well. The u series from sundown will play a lot like dd from the way its designed but personally I'd run the 9500s over the u series. These subs are very efficient. Haven't tried plugging a port yet but just playing around on music I've done a 153.3 db on the windshield. It's pretty much the same from 35hz to 50 hz on the meter with this tuning that I've tried. I haven't tried other hz yet on the meter. I'm clamping 4k after rise at 3 ohms at 13.5 volts.
@@3500savoy Sundown E-Series or the SA series is a good start. never had any issues with sundown speaker. Never blew them neither. Look at the sundown yard sale. Just Google sundown yard sale and you can find some good deal on there. That where I got my speaker from. Done had 1 sa 8, 3 e12, 3 x12 and a nightshade 12 from there. They all work good. Order 3 amp from there 2.but I like orion amp better. That just me
1500 rms on clean power. Just have a bass knob to control the bass. Gotta know when to back down. With box rise, you'll be getting a real 500 to 800 rms out of that amp. Plus, if you upgrade later, you'll have extra power on hand
@Armando 400 to 500watts should be enough. Unless you want it really loud. Then run 2 amp on the mid and high, for 1000 watts. Like 2 or 4 speakers in the door with 2 or 4 tweets beside them
the lowest level sundown model i've owned were sa's, but I can't imagine sundown would ever put out a bad product.. run them through clean rated power and I'm sure you'll be satisfied for the money.
Sounds good do you think the e12 or better or the sa12 I got a suv a small truck I was gone do the 2 12s with that box u got but I don't think it will fit so I was gone do the single setup with the single down4sound profab
I been debating between what you have with either a skar rp-1500 or the sundown sia 1250. Or I’ve debated the skar dual 12 sdr bass package? Which would you recommend going in a car. Will be stock electrical
The down4sound box is easy to upgrade with diff speaker. I just put 2 x12 in the box even tho it not recommended. The skar bass package come with amp, wire kit, and subs. So if your on a budget go with what you can afford until then. The skar package is a good deal and should make you happy.
@@teeceehonda I appreciate it. I’ll go with the sundown setup. But now just have to decide which amp. The sundown does 1250 at 1 and 2 ohm. Compared to skar doing 1500 at 1 and 900 at 2 so that’s why I been debating between the 2 lol
@@nathanwhite8931 check out my new video with the x12 in the d4s box with the orion 2500dz. I'll make another video soon showing the setup but it the same box the e12 were in
@@teeceehonda I seen. They sounded amazing. I can’t wait to install the e12s but I just don’t know which amp to do lol. And the amp you have is expensive as crap lol
I have 2 e 15s, on an audio pipe 2k, in a sealed box and they don't hit this hard, I have a massive headache, but these sound like it takes your breath away too
Now I got the D4s ofc big 3 upgrade under the hood and all 0 gauge ofc wire from front to back back. The back battery for now is an agm. Gonna upgrade to lithium soon
Shit I just bought a single E12 and a 2.00CFT Skar Box 🙇🏽♂️ let’s see how it does…..I mean D4S puts these E12s in a 2.00CFt D4S Box……Skar Box Tuned to 36hz which, is not that bad…..I currently have an SA8 upgraded from the E8
From 28 to 40 hz yeah. The e12 can take the skar 1200. I had a 1500 orion Amp on them. They can take 500 to 800. Idk about 1000rms tho. I'll put them back in and see. I got an orion 2500dz amp that can push them hard to there limit
