the pathfinder haversack is a good bit of kit.its simple design has served woodsman for hundreds of years.with a few simple mods that are easy to do you can improve the haversack and have better gear.in my first mod i added a buckle to the strap to make the solid strap adjustible.next i added a zipper to the inside lip of the top flap this created a pocket that small items could be carried in with out them falling out every time you open the flap.finally i added a simple bankline loop to the inside from top corner to make a place to attach a lanyard to hold items i want to get to quickly. all it is is a simple sewing project to make the haversack better.
