When tanks are immobilised by artillery or mines in contested area or close to enemy lines, there's no chance of capturing them. Russians could try to to pull them back at night. Thus it makes total sense to incur as much damage as possible, preventing them from ever getting back into service

Seen a few comments saying "They're obviously abandoned tanks" and "Why not just capture them?" There can be any number of reasons why. One or both could be badly damaged from mine hits and need mechanised recovery, for example if they are stuck or have been de-tracked. They may also be in a location that troops can't safely get to. By putting a grenade thrown the hatch or the engine deck you can deny that vehicle to the enemy. Basically if you can't recover it, you make sure the enemy can't either. It looks like one has a tow cable latched up, so the Russian's might have been trying to recover a damaged tank with the other and the second one has been forced to be abandoned. By destroying both, the Ukrainian's have destroyed two tanks for minimal cost/risk to their troops.

The way it hovers really low is some quality trolling, even if they're abandoned as these seem to be.

You should use thermite grenades instead on the engine covers and HE in the hatches. I would even think that a drone with liquid spray would be most effective if you could wet the vehicle in fuel and then set it on fire.
