This is ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. I am a professional songwriter, music teacher, and saxophonist and I WISH I had that type of talent at their age. Fantastic job all around. Very impressed.

This is amazing on so many levels. The nervous look on the players face does not match confidence they exhibit in their playing. This is such an ambitious song choice and it doesn't seem like the audience understands or appreciates how hard this song is to pull off. The Drummer has great feel and keeps good time, doesn't let the rhythm fall apart in that solo section... the bass player, despite her stiff posture does a great job keeping it in the pocket and not rushing too much. The guitar player is right there with them and the horns are absolutely solid. But that keyboard player needs to be given serious credit for learning that solo. That's one of the most difficult solos to play in contemporary jazz music and he did a great tribute to Cory Henry by learning it. (Even just on the right hand). Bravo!

Why the hell are there people criticizing? Is every kid in 5th grade now supposed to be an astro physicist and a firefighter and a best selling novelist? My god.... they're in HS!!! They're doing stuff they never imagined- just praise them AND the teacher for putting ALL THIS HARD WORK IN!

I was stressed out for my man on keys, then the solo came along and he took the wise route of adapting it rather than facing it head on and I felt so relieved for him. Great performance.

Bass and drums are just killing it. Tight AF between the two of them, solid groove from the drummer and some tasty tone and fills from the bass player. Keys solo was on point. Unison horns for the outro were spot on. Anyone dissing HS kids for flaws in what is an outstanding performance need to wind it in. Could you do this at their age? Could you do this at *your* age?

Damn, sure as hell did not expect this. The pressure on the keyboard player must have been immense too, nice job!

I can't even understand how they nailed this so well. The second I heard the trumpet and sax together I knew this would be next-level, but every one of them stunned me. I'm glad this got recommended.

Wow man. I am shocked at the keyboard solo--takes a lot to even REMOTELY touch Cory Henry. Absolutely incredible work. PS the engineering on this recording is incredible for a stage setup. Props to everyone involved.

the ewi solo caught me SOOO off guard lmfao. spectacular job overall. I don't expect anyone to be able to nail Corey Henry's "solo of all solos," but the rest of the song was spot on. Can't imagine how much time and effort went into this.

OK, one of the finest performances I have ever seen. Kudos to each of these incredible musicians, their teacher, and the sound engineer. Bear in mind that these are kids, high school students, who are also balancing their musical pursuits with school work, families and other teenage pursuits and not professional, full time musicians. Blown away!

Great cover! I had a band high school; this is probably the equivalent my band covering RTF's 'Musicmagic'...and I know we would not have pulled that off this well. He'll, how many full formed adult musician would have even the courage to go at this song, let alone the ability? The negative critics here have way too much to say...I don't recognize any of their names as successes in the music industry. These young musicians are light years ahead of the musicians of their parent's generation...
