You're exactly right, if you had done the test on a track that could be classified as a downhill track for the most part then it would seem obvious from the get go that the DH rig would win,but the track is kind of a mixed one in it's essence that'why I was uncertain which bike would win,also because I hadn't taken a good look at the track neither in person nor in any other video.Adding to the fact that it was unknown to me how fit you are this all makes it hard to take a good guess on which bike would win the challenge. Regardless, even though I love D😍wnhill sport and DH🚲bikes from the heart (and already for long years now), I had a feeling the Enduro bike might be the grand winner in the end like it did.Loved to watch the video of this test, respect to you all the way from PortugaL🇵🇹,from another fellow counterpart👍🏻🙋🏻‍♂️.

that's the reason I run the amsller 10-45 cassette with the shorter mech. This isn't an option with sram but I thought about changing my 32x10-45 12-speed xt to a 28x11-36 saint drivetrain. with that it would be much shorter, lighter and cheaper with the same climbing gear but a much worst high end gear.

It's not a dh trail with so much pedalling. The comparison is not fair at all.

start of the trail looked like it was going up and then flat for a while. maybe not a fair trail for the DH bike. keep up with the content

Yeah would defo be interesting when you get a switch 7 to see how that gets on the same track.

With the new switch 7, you should see if the linkage makes it faster. Maybe put a 29 on an alpine to compare it to?

I run a carbon Renthal Fat Bar, but to be honest I’m so risk averse the chance of it ever being under enough stress to snap is minuscule! 😂

You were pedaling the whole way down.. the DH bike would be faster on a DH track.. or at least a little steeper

I used to run Shimano saint 10 speed on my orange 5 and people asked how I could climb, I just said get bigger mussels 😂😂

the comment about the shimano derailleur is so accurate. i actually run a GX mech and shifter on my shimano driveline. The cage lock feature is also such a good bonus. Then you go on about carbon bars.... You are seriously delusional if you think carbon bars are weaker than an alloy bar, I've seen so many bent and broken alloy bars.. i've probably seen 2 or 3 carbon bars, of which maybe 1 actually broke and the rest were cracked or fraying on the ends. you need to try a oneup bar, the benefits of their design is soo good. Owning a bike shop we see alot of bikes, sure we sell more alloy bikes than carbon but the amount of damaged alloy we get back is probably 8 x the amount of carbon. and its alloy that presents the most dumbest things from just general riding where as the carbon bikes we have seen are mostly from massive crashes. And its funny you say this while riding orange, We've warrantied so many orange bikes that we eventually gave up selling them all together.
