Download Festival celebrated it's 20 year anniversary in style, so I decided I would too!

Great video man. You bumped in to a shut load of people there. Loved the Tpd cameo 😂 also jealous of the Bloodywood meet. Very useful review of the festival mate. Rip has definitely improved a bit since I was last there (mostly because everything has moved closer)

Hi I was thinking off doing camping plus for next year. I know you have to buy your weekend camping tickets but is it a separate campsite or do you still camp in the normal campsites?

Just watched this with my bf a week after getting back from download (eco camping) - still suffering from post DL blues :( Really enjoyed watching this vlog start to finish! Never watched SMTV before but have subbed after watching this. Looks like you had a nice time. RIP looks great! me and a m8 were in Park Farm itself. The whole luxury about not having to hump a ton of gear up the tarmac slope of doom to the wristband marquee made the price worth it alone. Add in clean flushing loos, showers and no one stomping through you're camp area just added to it... plus the Gnome :)

I’ll have to have a good look around Park Farm’s camp site next year. Just takes all the stress out of getting set up doesn’t it, then knowing you’ve literally just got to pack your stuff away straight into your car is soooo much better

I bought a day ticket, and was there Friday. Got smashed by about 3. Bumped into a load of randomers, and then ended up in the campsite cos I took a wrong turn and partied in the doghouse til 5 in the morn. Security was chill. Feckin good day though. Used to camp out, but find I can't hack it like I used to. Contemplating a Download day again this year. You going this year ?

Great vlog buddy...ive avoided watching RIP ones since dont want to tempt myself considering im paying for me and 2 sons. Did camping plus this year. Only downside was a big walk to the village but it was right near the north carpark so trek was nothing. Wasn't too bothered about the village in the day anyway and the walk back from there at night was fine since we were pjarmad😂 Already booked for next year so hopefully see you unless you managed to get some RIP..

Cheers matey! So was camping plus a separate campsite? Or just general camping, with access to a separate area with showers/toilets etc? I’ve got Sleepy Hollow booked up again for next year 👍

@@SMTV__ It's a sectioned off site where you camp and the toilets and showers are in the area so fully confined area. Showers were busy from around 9 till 12 but we left them to later anyway. Looks like the same showers as RIP, spot on. Toilets were great but they did get messy back end of the day. I'm not skint but I'm not paying over 700 quid each for RIP and even at 53 don't mind getting my steps in😁

Thanks for that buddy, appreciate that. I don’t know the situation to be honest, the fact you have your car next to you in the camping sections you can just lock your valuables in your vehicle. Which I didn’t feel like I needed to do anyway, everyone was there for the same reason, and everyone just looked out for each other

What did you think of the prodigy at your first dl mate? Big fan me. I bet it was different being a metal festival. Myself i never been hoping to go next year. I was booked for 2021 for system of a down disappointing they weren’t booked again Take care

Evening buddy, The Prodigy we’re ridiculously good that year. But the mud was truly horrific 😄 I was right at the front, and with people’s feet just solidified into the ground, it was pretty damn rough. Luckily got to see them again at the O2 in Birmingham a year or so later too Thanks for the comment matey

@@PhilFlaherty appreciate that dude! Honestly can’t sing it’s praises enough. I packed 2 of the enduro batteries, thinking they’d both end up running out each day. BUT a single enduro battery lasted all day, and still had on average about 20% left come 23:00 each day. When it came to time to sleep I was just leaving it to charge overnight with a battery pack. In terms of resolution I shot at - 1080p 60fps. If you want a full breakdown of the preset used let me know!

It really doesn’t make sense to me… obviously there’s the guaranteeing your size and design you want, but click and collect for me is meant to reduce the time spent waiting. I’m sure like yourself, a lot of people will have learnt not to do it again 😄 Some might struggle, but just heading straight to the merch stand as soon as you arrive can’t be beaten!

Great video. Have been looking at doing RIP next year and listen to Dear Download and watch TPD TV regularly. RIP looks great. Silly question. - We dont drive. Is Sleep Hollow just fir cars and tents and oark farm for campers without a car? It looks like you have a square market out plot for your tent/car. Any advice is great 👍.

Enjoyed doing that RIP episode of Dear Download 🤘 There’s nothing to say that RIP camping is only designated for people with cars, your pitch is yours. Which is 22m2 per ticket holder. So just getting dropped off at the Park Farm gates should be fine!
