Brillant! I was able to easily download 38K files and renamed them simultaneously into a folder. I've been onboarding products to ecommerce sites for 20 years and this method is a lifesaver as suppliers often provide image URLs in a product spreadsheet. THANK YOU!
it works perfectly to download but can't open the files, even with your url that are using it says: ''Sorry, Photos can't open this file because the format is currently unsupported, or the file is corrupted''. Is there any chance to fix this?
It happend to me , This happen because the URL is wrong, The SOLUTION =>(Put the right image URL) Open the image by it's URL and right click on the image, then choose (copy image address), then past it in the image` URL cell
When i use the formula as is with only a change to my column location and desktop file i get the error " unauthorized user exception, and access to path 'C:\users\Dell\Desktop\myfilename' is denied. what am i missing ?
Make sure you have the right permissions (owner with full control) on the directory and/or the file you're looking to download the images in. If you don't know how to do it, Google "how to change the permissions on a directory or a file". You've got endless videos here on RU-vid as well.
