Phones, files, maps, tracks, routes...It can be very overwhelming! This video demonstrates how to download the South Carolina Adventure Route (SCAR) GPX files onto a mobile device. Note that this is not a "one shoe fits all" tutorial, as all devices, settings, and browsers can differ. But, hopefully it will move you one step closer to riding the SCAR and many of the other great routes that are waiting for you!

Hey Kris, thanks a bunch for this…just downloaded to Gaia. I also just learned about the Palmetto ADV Rally…WOW…awesome stuff. Looking forward to the 2024 event upcoming in March I think. Speak of which, in a video about that event, they mentioned the SCAR started only a mile from the Ridgeville/Summerville campsite. I don’t see that option on the SCAR? is there an extra loop somewhere’s that I don’t see or were they incorrect in the video? Thanks so much again.

I am not sure where the Ridgeville/Summerville campsite is. I can’t find it on a map.

my apologies, I thought you were there in March for the 2nd annual rally. No worries and thanks for responding. I believe the site is across from Buffalo Lake (Summers Corner neighborhood area).

@@billwaterhouse5894 Yes, I was there. I thought you were mentioning a campground my name, and didn’t realize you were referring to the rally location. At the time of the rally, v13 of the SCAR was the most recent, and it probably did pass about a mile from the rally. In v14 of the SCAR (released after the rally), the route was moved further away from the greater Charleston/Summerville metro area, and so it is now farther away from this year’s rally location. I did hear that the rally will be held in a different location next year, although I don’t know exactly where.

Ahh…understood. Well that a bummer on the location, I’m a mile or two from Buffalo Lake spot
