What stops someone from lifting those shutters off their hinges? If the bottom ones were upside down that wouldn’t be easy or possible to lift off the hinges. Just a thought.👋🏻🇿🇦
I love the photobombing pigeon....checking on progress. "Are the holes thirsty Edd?" Lol...Anna's deadpan delivery had us laughing out loud. Good fun! That dog looked like a Newfoundland breed. Gorgeous! Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
I hope your lovely white shutters are not an attraction to taggers like they'd be in the U.S. I have to say the graffiti "artists" give me major heartburn. I saw their work in Lisbon last year and I could have cried. So many beautiful buildings with their unique tiling covered in gaudy spray paint. Your shutters are very attractive. I hope the neighbors are pleased with the improvements. That dog is the perfect definition of a "fur ball". Sweet. Nice job Edd!
I wasn't sure I'd be putting shutters back downstairs, until I seen the first set up. It just looks right, amazing how much it changes the front of the house. Great job again.👍
In France, unless you have shutters on your windows, any burglary thefts etc. are not covered by home insurance. We know. We've been burgled! and bought a house with no shutters. Lost all our power tools, gardening equipment etc. Not a penny in insurance coverage.
Edd, Edd, Edd….. you probably have ‘experts’ watching this and have their own views, but I can safely say that all of us admire your work! I for one have learned so much - some of your unique ideas (blowing the dust out of a hole!) are legendary in our home! Keep up your good work - all filmed of course by Anna!
I hate being a few hinges short. A pigeon that uses the cross walk. In the US they have cans of compressed air for things like cleaning key boards. As usual another great Edd job.
Every stony knows the experience of blowing dust out of drill holes. Just be glad you didn’t get it in your eyes, it really spoils the mood when your eyes are blurry and burning. Looking great! I’m glad to see you working at a manageable pace and making an effort to do an authentic quality build.
Shame on these people that scam us ... too bad they don't put their skills to do good. The outside is looking so good Edd. You are doing a great job Edd ... like of like what happens to a chimney sweep! lol Love following and seeing all that you do to bring this property back to life! Like seeing the pigeon and the awesome dog! Like the shutters.
I like your presentation of the house front….Edd, - the chances of you finding gold in that building would be bizzare…… considering the amount of break and entry and tool theft!!…those type of people never leave a STONE uncovered….unturned
Shutters look beautiful! If I were you, I would build up the stone more around the windows so that the stone framing is more defined and pronounced. I love the windows and am looking forward to the restoration and installation of the matching 1st floor window cast iron guard. I would also clean the outside of the building and repair any stone details or cornice that is worn away, make it look more new. The stone is so classy!
Edd,Anna my darlings. Edd very good job of installing the shutters. They look beautiful. It’s all coming together. Until next time. Please, take care and stay safe. Love ya 🍺🍺🕊🌹❤️🙏🇺🇸🌈😇🌞👍
It's really looking good! I hope you are taking care of your back, Edd! I really hated seeing you struggling with pain! I can imagine you would like to "batten down the hatches" before fall and winter weather arrives. Thank you!!
Bonjour Anna and Edd, the shutters look perfect from my view, I think you did the best you could Edd with what you are dealing with. Well done. Anna, I love your little friend. Love from N.Y.
Edd, great job on shutters, ill give it a month before some little turd, graffiti's it 😮.. gold coins are for pirates 😂 thiefs who steal intellectual property 😊
looks like Cyril or louis sent their homing pigeon in to work today to help out since they couldn't be there lmao that bird was so funny hanging out with yall also that dog was beautiful and looked like he was very friendly ...i would have loved on that dog all day and not got any work done lol great job on the shutters ...things seem to be moving along ... looks like putting the shutters in aged Ed to where he grew a beard that was all white lmao understandable tho lol isnt it always the smallest of tasks that take forever and wear on ur frustrations lol ...so when r u going to start more work inside ? i know yall have been busy with weddings and such but i was curious to when things will start amping up .... im patiently waiting to see this project finished im excited to see yalls vision in the end ....have a blessed day yall !!! thanx for another great video !!!
Is there a paint that doesn’t allow spray paint to stick on these shutters so that if someone wants to decorate your shutters the spray paint will not stick?
Edd, great job on the shutters. Anna, 👌 job filming, as always. The shutters look great. Too bad, the gold coins were only parking coins! LOL. That Newfoundland dog is beautiful. Was he a full bred. They are absolutely wonderful with children and known to be natural life savers. They do drool a lot. Some don't drool, and it is only the odd one here and there that don't drool. Lots of love to you all.❤
The shutters look fabulous and when the front door goes in the building is going to be even more beautiful. Edd, one has to improvise sometimes to get the job done. ❤
The shutters looking great and the color very nice you both always working together making this happen good to see you again keep the challenge and see you soon bye
Why do the shutters on the lower level not bi-fold like the upper shutters? The bi-fold shutters sit nicely in the window recess and don’t intrude onto the sidewalk when open. They also look neater and like they belong. Is there a reason that they are different?
@@BordeauxLife I thought maybe that was the reason. The restrictions on historic buildings can be so limiting, especially on the exteriors. But it’s understandable. It still looks beautiful of course.
Windows with shutters are looking beautiful! ❣️ Anna: thank you for filming these videos.🙏👍 I can imagine how challenging it must be to keep up with RU-vid requirements. I've seen many RU-vidrs give up and leave their channels...
I know it’s a preference and really how the French historically treat their exterior shutters but is it possible to put cut outs into the shutters for interest. Maybe a small nod to the iron flowers in the door?
