That NDLR is interesting as well + sounds great, two questions if u don't mind, so if you have the dry going out of the Solar, you have VCO A and B turned down on the solar mixer to zero? What do you think about the OXI One sequencer, was thinking of getting one as my first hardware sequencer, I figured that would be a good one to learn and use across all my future hardware purchases?
Thx! Yes I turn them all the way down, unless I want part of it go to the effector as well ;) But in this instance they are turned down. But several combination possible. For example another idea would be to only send one dry out et keep the second in the main mix. I don't own the OXI but I followed its development since it was in beta because it looked promising and as fa r as I can see it delivered! If you're looking for this kind of sequencer, you could also consider the Polyend Play+ I'm stills ticking with my "classic" sequencer just because I have already to many sequencers and try to fall in Gear Addiction Syndrom :D But I love what they did with the OXI, lots of creativity features (generative ideas) etc, you don't have that on a Keystep.
@@jaderington cool, thanks for the info, I figure its the best sequencer to learn, from what I was reading its one of the best ones currently. I want use it with the solar but also for everything else, with 4 tracks I can get a lot more variety into the melodies. Do you find the learning curve difficult for the OXI One?
@@Heavycap It most definitely is the latest kiddy on the block. The modular boys use them. It's a little still complicated for me for deep dives atm, but it will plug n play for more simple noobs like me. You will not regret it, trust me !
Thanks! Yes I've been owning one with the keys for a few years already, and recently bought the module one. I love its simplicity/hands-on and this way I can benefit from the user digital oscillators i already had on the first :)
@@JessFromSquareOne Ahh right, ok. So you can poly chain to 8 voice now... I wasn't going to buy any more synths after my recent Solar 42f purchase. I'm glad I did now. This open source M engine osculator is really useful. I bought someone's sound set for it and a desksaver to keep it at the ready rather than under dust covers like my other synths. I think shall use it often too. Thanks !
@@jaderington Actually I thought I would use it in polychain mode but so far I prefer to use them independently. I don't mind the 4 paraphonic voices. I also invested in a decksaver also because accident happens 🤞 Too bad there's still none for the Solar !!
@@JessFromSquareOne At least you have that option. I have seen a Solar 42f bag. It looks nice, but it's £99. I'll wait a while and see. I rotate the use of my synth so it will need to be covered when it's not in use
