Why is ir that British shows are so cozy... intimate and amazingly inticing to watch????? I'm just drawn and seduced to watch them all the time!-CANT LIVE WITHOUT THEM!

I've never come across this show before.. So wonderful.. as a foodie/former chef, and a Downton Abbey fan, this is heaven. Thank you Earl and Countess Carnarvon for all your hard work and dedication to keep this gem of a home up to scratch!!! I hope one day to visit. Love the dogs too...

This is a lovely episode, I enjoyed it immenesly. However, it's hard to define a dessert as simple as whipped cream with fruit and sugar as exquisite or luxurious. Poor Portuguese butler, he must miss the real rich flavours! I think that the recipies showed in this episode represent very well the British approach to happiness via tastebuds. As Bill Bryson wrote: "And the British are so easy to please. It is the most extraordinary thing. They actually like their pleasures small. That is why, I suppose, so many of their treats - teacakes, scones, crumpets, rock cakes, rich tea biscuits, fruit shrewsburys - are so cautiously flavourful. They are the only people in the world who think of jam and currants as thrilling constituents of a pudding or cake. Offer them something genuinely tempting…and they will nearly always hesitate and begin to worry that it’s unwarranted and excessive, as if any pleasure beyond a very modest threshold is vaguely unseemly.’Oh I shouldn’t really,’ they say."

I thought they filmed on sets but the interiors are like exactly the same.

Young men still fight,, they have been made believe it is for their country, while in fact it is to protect the wealth of the rich and people in power who send them.

Besides the stunning dishes Mary made, the Egyptian chamber is absolutely epic with the story behind it. After all the real artefacts belong to the history and people of Egypt.

Who wouldn't want to live like this with such a life of lavish Beauty Glamour the gardens the flowers the legs though the swan is everyone's dreams but only a select few are lucky enough to have it they are very blessed and God Bless the Child that has his own and I hope it's well deserved even though a lot of is old money and it's been passed down I hope you rightfully and respectfully honor that privilege to be in that castle that matter are there States I mean there's so many what they call these unbelievable homes
