I'm so glad Julian Fellows kept Allen Leech in the show, he was such a contrast to lord Grantham, through Tom he was forced to see the world in different point of view. Love Downton Abbey, can't wait for the movie to come out!

😥crying AGAIN at Sybil’s death! One of the most powerful scenes I’ve ever seen. Julian gifted Allen w writing that developed his character more than any other cast member. Loved every minute of every episode. Cheers to September and the DA movie 🎥!!

I've just binge watched Downton in a week (never seen it before). Allen was always a treat, but when he comes back from America a tiny bit podgy with that incredible dadbod - PHWOAR!!! Sometimes I just had to pause and admire.

Goes to see Rocketman at local theatre After a string of commercials -- when did this become a thing? -- previews finally play First preview is for the Downton Abbey film Turns to partner, says "Well whether Rocketman ia good or not, that preview WAS TOTALLY WORTH MY MONEY!" (Rocketman was awesome, by the way)

It wasn't "just" the great writing in the sense of so many rich and interconnected human stories, and it wasn't "just" the gorgeous period costumes and cars and setting-----for me----Downton is a series I can watch to eliminate FILTH. There is zero filthy language (the very rare and occasional swear words were only used to make an emotion 'pop' from time to time, and appropriately so) and while some of the stories are tragic or gritty or even lusty----it's never in-your-face crass, grotesque, FILTH. I am absolutely sick of Filth being shoved down everyone's throats as "entertainment"....it has degraded the best of us and as for the worst of us, all the filth just feeds their sickness. So, THANK YOU Julian Fellowes, Producers, and Cast!
