Cebu is so nice from 4am to 7am, then comes the sight of thousands of people on street praying for jeepneys or buses to get them to work in some commercial district dotted with fast food and parking lots.

I lived across the street from Velez College in 1978. Beautiful city. A lot more crowded now. I was there last in 2019 only from the airport to the port for a boat to Leyte
I know everyone is trying to make a living, but when there are other businesses there that are paying rent and their taxes, the street vendors should respect that and look for another spot to sell and pay rent and taxes just like we all do.

All thanks to Mayor Rama, because he implemented cleaning and rehabilitation of the city, unlike in the times of Osmena, it was very dirty since its a busy street, now its cleaner and the sidewalks are better than last time
Just look at the unmaintained side walks with trip hazards, pollution is rife with too much traffic and the place is too over populated. I would not buy the street food, Nothing Beautiful about this City I'm afraid would draw me to want visit here.
Apparently Cebu city is among the richest city in the Philippines but honestly this & some other parts around are neglected, no improvements & buildings looks dilapidated, no charm.

I learned Freediving in Cebu City in 1979 i was fascinated with the Badjaos diving for 1 peso coin in Pier 1 Cebu when i tossed the coin off the board on Sulpicio Line. Mactan was the Boracay i used to stay in Hudson White Sand beach resort. Memories❤
