A little tidbit: The Park Place 1000 was still working fine until 2015, when the RTU quit functioning. It was never fixed since the new system was being installed.
Damn a lot has changed. Gov building siren moved places, park place went inactive, new t-128s. I always see thunderbolts really frequently in Cincinnati. Usually one every mile. I remember in particular passing a thunderbolt on an abandon factory next to a highway.
What’s weird is the Government Building Thunderbolt rotator was stuck in a different position in 2012 test videos ,but looking on google earth on specific dates ,it appears they fixed the rotator on it in like 2014 as from the That date ,this video and newer ,it moved in different directions. Another thing that’s weird is in the video ,you said the Park Place Thunderbolt is inactive ,but looking at dates after this video was taken ,on google earth ,the sirens horn moved (from the shot your picture was taken ,the horn moved right) in late 2016 and stayed in that position and still is now. So that Thunderbolt probably was disconnected in late 2016. Another strange thing is the Hudepohl factory Thunderbolt moved as well. In videos from 2012 ,the horn is pointing towards basically the left of the screen (from the angle the videos were shot from) ,but in this video ,it’s pointing directly at the camera and both shots from 2012 and this video were taken at the same angle. It’s a possibility that that one has a snapped rotator belt and the wind pushed the horn ,or someone went up there and moved it for some reason. But on google earth ,in a 2017 image, the sirens horn is pointed to left again like it was in 2012 videos showing it ,but not turned as much. So either the wind is pushing it ,or someone is going up there and moving it. The SCPA Thunderbolt horn has remained in that same position in the video and as of now ,after it was tested last before disconnected. So that one hasn’t moved since it was tested.
