This is a travel tour of downtown Flagstaff Arizona. In the tour of Flagstaff we walk around the shops and restaurants. We walk around downtown Flagstaff around the railroad station, talk about Route 66 and give some history about where Flagstaff gets its name and whats its famous for. This is a Flagstaff tour for people looking for things to do or actually looking to move to Flagstaff. Flagstaff is a place a lot of people from Phoenix like to go to beat the summer heat.

I live in Flagstaff and am a server and manage just fine. We just got 3 feet of snow over the last week. This place is magical.

cool. is the minimum wage there enough to support oneself? I hear its expensive what do studio apartments normally run?

@@user-yc9qe2hn4z so minimum wage for workers that are not servers is 15 an hour and min for servers is 12 an hour. A studio will be 800 a month which includes utilities. Just for reference I normally make around 100 a night plus every 2 weeks I get another 600 in my check.

@dj d Not completely true.... Northern AZ is really beautiful and gets snow....even outside of Flagstaff. Look up the "White Mountains". They are called "White" for a reason.

Happy to have found your channel. I will be viewing more of your videos. As an Arizona native, I was born in Flagstaff in January 1941 and moved from there after my high school graduation in 1958. Flagstaff will always be "my hometown". So much love and many memories. I knew I was one lucky young girl to have called Flagstaff home.

This is where our Amtrak train dropped us off after we came in from LA last year (we were visiting from the UK and doing a bit of travelling). We then caught a bus that took us down to Phoenix. Wish we could have spent a bit more time in Flagstaff though. We’re coming back to Arizona in 2024 and plan to spend a night in Flagstaff after the train drops us off before coming down into Phoenix. Thx Jeff xxx I can remember stopping by a big green open park, downtown, many moons ago, while automotive altitude testing in CO, and then onto hot testing in AZ and NV proving grounds. These trips are why we fell in love with AZ, driving from Motown to the hot proving grounds, and then retiring in Paradise Valley, and now Casa Grande and hopefully Show Low, soon, for future summers.

Passed through Flagstaff on the Arizona trail and loved the town. On the way back I stayed for a week. Flagstaff has that small town feel town feel and reminds me of England.

Watching from Guyana 🇬🇾. Man I love this video. A Peace Corps volunteer once told me about spending time in Flagstaff. I could have only imagined what he had told me about the place... but this video has just enriched my little prior knowledge of the town. He did mention about the almost perfect climate... My husband and I moved here march of 2019 from Mobile Alabama and we absolutely love it here. Back in Mobile there’s only two season summer and winter there is no in between it’s either hot and humid or cold and wet. We love that flagstaff actually has seasons and very low humidity humidity.

Took the family to Flagstaff in the spring. The park land is absolutely breathtaking. There are also some good food choices out there lots of restaurants to choose from. My dog even rather enjoyed all of the grass and green spaces.

I've always loved Flag,even when I was little and we lived there. I'm 68 now and still remember the huge flood that took a Volkswagen out of our body and fender shop. I grabbed the back bumper think I could stop it from leaving,but it carried me right downtown before I finally let go of it. XD (I was a stubborn kid)

Memories stayed at a youth hostel went to a film in the park, saw movie, and then the Grand Canyon north rim. One day it was extremely windy, but our tent manage to stay up. Thanks for the tour

I went to that observatory with my NJROTC class in 1990. We got to see the mountains of the moon through that telescope. We hiked the Sunset Crater, and spelunked ice caves in Walnut National Forest. :D I loved Flagstaff, I have always wanted to move there. Thank you!!!

2:33 I remember that very well from the game. Only before you go under, it was just highway, no buildings around until you went under the bridge. Plus in the game, its a smaller version so it doesn't have all the things. But its enough to make a player's day.

I lived in Flag for 8 plus years and it was the best place in the world to live. Winters and health got to me so we moved. Always remember the friends, places, things, etc to do; Am still an avid basketball and track fan of NAU. Only town better is San Francisco, CA since I grew up north California. Great people in Flag!

@@backyardbraaapn1017 The point is not what it is called but the remembrance and connections with it. I will call it Flag or Flagstaff (San Francisco or Frisco) with fond memories from being involved with the many activities and friends over the time spent there (8 plus years) and the only reason I left was because of heath. Respect is not what or how it is named but the many activities, friends, etc that give these memories. Respect is earned by being involved such as Flag was to me.

Thank you for the video. Flagstaff was one of my stops on a 16 day rail pass in the late ‘70’s. Best things I remember are the Grand Canyon and awesome Mexican food in town. The city was much smaller then. Was planning a trip there early this year, but the pandemic put a damper on that. Maybe early fall it will happen! Good time to escape peak hurricane season in SFL.

I find Flagstaff interesting....my granddaughter and I stayed at a hotel there....had to catch Amtrak 2 or3 am. Traveled to Chicago changed trains to NYC...then Jersey. We had sleeper and great food. Several years ago! Honestly thought many times about flying...we had wonderful time.

unfortunately as of late the Navajo gangs Dine' Pride and Warrior society (N.A.B) , RNW or Red Nation Warriors have been hanging out downtown fighting a lot. its sad. alot of them very intoxicated.

I reside in Flagstaff. The Eagles are very prominent here and not just the bird kind either. I have seen UFO up on the mountain on several occasions. There is also an entrance to an underground installation of some kind in the forest not far from the Arboretum. When I went to investigate the entrance, a small drone came in through the trees to investigate me. I'm not "talking" the kind of drone that people can buy or fly nor the kind that has been revealed publicly. There is also evidence of some type of ancient alien technology being used in certain areas. In Walnut Canyon, there is evidence of surface mining equipment being utilized on the rock. Thousands of years old. The Navajo speak of the Star People that they used to work for. The Mesas were created and used as landing platforms for very large ships that the indigenous people would assist in loading with gold, it is said. The indigenous cliff dwellings mimicked the Star People dwellings that were on the cliffs. The evidence is in Marble Canyon and the Temple of the Star People remains are in Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon which is the origins of the vortexes that exist there. My smartphone jumps an hour ahead when I'm near Halfway picnic area. Something anomalous there. The Grand Canyon was a huge gold vein produced by the volcano. That Canyon was created by ancient alien surface mining.

I don't know about this... it sounds a bit bizarre. I lived in Flagstaff for a few years but didn't have any odd experiences. The first UFO I saw was above Taos, some others many years later in France. I should bring my husband to Flag, he's more sensitive.

I love Flagstaff. I lived there for 9 years. I moved out due to a family emergency but I'm moving back in October 2020. Its where I'll retire and be happy. The weather is awesome and the skys get so blue. The air is crisp and fresh. The snow is beautiful on the ponderosa pines and the San Francisco mountains. Can't wait to get "Home".

I lived in Flagstaff for awhile in 1945. My dad worked at Navajo Ordinance Depot, 12 miles west on the old 66. Born and raised near Cornville on lower Oak Creek . This is all home country.

Nice video, Flagstaff is a beautiful city with a very nice climate. Be aware though, that it is an extremely expensive place to live if your thinking of moving there.

@@andrei9370 Pretty close to CA prices, also if your the type of person who likes to sit out on the patio in the evening Flag really cools down at night being at 7000 feet so you will need a coat.

As a former resident of Flagstaff, I have to pass along a technical note for you. On the drive up I-17, the highest peak you see is not Humphreys Peak but rather Agassiz Peak, which happens to be the second highest peak in Arizona. Humphreys Peak is behind Agassiz from your point of view. The best way to see it is from the west side of the mountain. That's a common mistake many people make.
