Logan is a city in Cache County, Utah, United States. The 2010 census recorded the population was 48,174, with an estimated population of 51,542 in 2018. By 2050 the population of Logan is expected to double.
Logan is that special treat hidden on the highest shelf of the pantry. It’s nice and quiet, removed from Utah’s main thoroughfares in between majestic mountains.
Logan, Utah, is located in beautiful Cache Valley, only 85 miles north of Salt Lake City in a pristine, green valley along US Hwy 89, the shortest and most scenic route to Yellowstone. Don't miss Logan National Scenic Byway, especially when fall colors are on display. At the highway summit, you can see a spectacular view of turquoise Bear Lake.
Nearby, the Logan LDS Temple, built from 1877 - 1884, stands today as a monument to Utah's early pioneers. It represents sacrifice, commitment, and a diligent work ethic. The neighboring tabernacle is equally spectacular, and is home to an early 1900-era pipe organ.
Visitors intrigued by Logan's rich history will want to visit the Jensen Historical Farm at the American West Heritage Center. The farm is a living history museum, set in 1917. All the traditional ways are closely followed, and guests are invited to jump back in time and learn about food preservation, sheep shearing, quilting, hay making, threshing, and more.

Logan is beautiful. I love the mountains, the valleys, the canyons, the seasons, USU and the wide open spaces, the wide roads and boulevards, the neatly arranged homes along streets without being divided by fences. Used to live in Logan for 4-5 years while doing PhD at USU.

I was born there. Also a Church member. We do work for the dead, aka our ancestors. 1st Peter 4:6. Also Malachi. We turn the hearts of the children and fathers to each other. Elijah restored the keys in the Kirtland temple on April 3 1836. Great video.

Thanks for sharing! There’s something about the Temple that draws me to it & I’ve been a proud Atheist for 20yrs. I’ve heard stories about that place & shrugged it off. I had a cellmate who is a great great Grandson of the first President of that Temple & he told me some of the same stories I once heard with more detail. He told me their is a book about that Temple’s first 100yrs & I never read it. I wanted to not believe but he spoke with power that shook my soul. He felt bad what he did & wanted to change his ways. I never asked what he was in for & I didn’t care. I was about to get sentenced to Prison & if there was a God I needed him now. I prayed & after I was told in my mind what the Judge would tell me. It was like a whisper & it was right. The Judge lowered his head & he couldn’t get himself to send me to Prison. Everyone in that courtroom witnessed a miracle & one Guy there I rode back with told everyone in our cell block that he just witnessed the hand of the Lord saving me from Prison. He has some siblings that are Members of the Church & he believes in the Book of Mormon but will never read it because he doesn’t want to give up some of his ways. Do I believe in that book & that’s for others to find out for themselves. I’m not going to tell people what to believe in & that’s why I don’t like the Missionaries knocking on my door. I don’t mind them sharing their testimonies of what they believe but when they say they know it’s true. I’m done & won’t listen to them. How do they know & they can’t covert me. Only God can & I only listen to Him. Most all my neighbors are Latter day Saints & they haven’t ever crammed religion down my throat. I go to the neighborhood parties & they don’t try to convert me. There’s all kinds of religions there & we get along as neighbors. They help me out a lot because I’ve had two back surgeries. I knew some Members from the places I worked & they weren’t Saints. I’m blessed to have the ones in my neighborhood & they literally saved my life. Some of them wrote to me while I was locked up doing jail time & would come see me. Their Bishop even has came to see me & he didn’t have to but he was one of my Scout leaders growing up before I became an Atheist. I’ve been so against them because of what I was told growing up & now I don’t care what religion anyone is or if they don’t belong to a congregation. We should treat everyone with respect & kindness no matter what anyone believes. I’m not going to tell others what they believe in is wrong because I don’t want to be told either. Everyone knows what’s best from them & I tell them to follow their heart if it be right or wrong. Someday we might all see the truth but that’s for all of us to find out instead of proving to others that they might be wrong. My life has been hard & since the pandemic I’ve been going up to the Temple grounds for a year now after going to the GYM to gather my thoughts. There’s so much contention at home & being there gives me peace. I feel loved like someone I can’t see is hugging me. I’ve seen others come there to check it out because as they came into the valley they where impressed & wanted to know more. They walked around & asked some people about it. A young girl answered their questions & I was impressed. I felt something come over me & I started to cry. Even the people that asked questions was impressed & couldn’t get over what they where feeling. They went over to touch it & take pictures. When ever I’m there some people will touch the same rock & take the same picture. I’ve never been kicked out & if there’s a gate open I drive in. Never been questioned by anyone but one day I was sitting on one of the benches Emailing a friend to tell her how I feel. Some Guy walks up to me & out of the blue tells me that I need to tell her in person. What! How did he know? I could of been watching RU-vid videos or what ever but It gave me goose bumps. Some days it’s hard for me to leave & when I leave those gates I’m back into the rat race. I’ve seen some contractors there & heard they are going to renovate that place. I might have to go to the open house once they do.

My parents are converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They got me Baptized but we went to Church seldom. When I got older I didn’t feel I belonged & thought people where being brainwashed. I became an Atheist & Missionaries came knocking on my door. No one can tell me what is true except for the Lord but I had trials in my life & I was scared. I decided to pray with all my heart, might, mind & soul to save me. I’ve heard others talk about how powerful pray is & I didn’t believe in it because I never had any prayers answered before. Through my trials I do believe in prayers now & God has heard me. I’m not an Atheist anymore & wonderful blessings has happend to me but like I said I don’t what to tell others what to believe in. That’s for others to find out through their own prayers. My Cellmate is a Great Great Great Grandson to Marriner W. Merrill who was the first president on the Logan Temple. I can’t remember what my cellmate last name is & it could of been Merrill but can’t remember because I got out in 2012. I still haven’t read the first 100yrs of the Logan Temple & I should read it. Last year a Great Great Great Great Granddaughter of Merrill’s moved into the neighborhood & she spoke of the same stories that my cellmate shared with me. I recommend that book if you haven’t read it. I think my parents have that book & I need to read it. A lot of other amazing things has happened to me after turning my heart over to the Lord. He helped me to get off all my Depression Medications & I don’t see Therapists anymore because the Lord is my Therapist & his Gospel is my Meds. The Lord speaks to me through Scriptures. I about ended someone’s life & hated how I felt. I took a old Book of Mormon off the shelf to pray with. I was blaming God how I was feeling & I wanted that anger to be gone. After I prayed that book was opened to 3rd Nephi 11:29-30 & it was underlined. It was the adversary who was giving me the Spirit of contention & that such things should be done away. After reading away the Lord took all that anger away from me & never been that angry sense. My spiritual eyes have been opened & I finally went to the Temple. I tell others you must behave while your in there because I was there with my best friend from 4yrs old & we got back together after many years. We was doing a session & I could make my seat squeak. I was like oh no but the little kid in me kept making it squeak. My friend finally heard it & hits me. We start laughing but the Lord wasn’t happy with us & we could feel it. I tried to make that seat squeak again & it wouldn’t make a sound after that. I knew the Lord had that seat fixed. The Temple is a wonderful place to be & pray that your dream will come true. Life isn’t easier after going through the Temple but it’s well worth it & I never been so blessed. Every time I have doubts the Lord keeps reminding me of all the blessings I’ve had once I turned my heart over to Him.

Love your tours and narration! Don't change a thing -- get a kick out of both of you! The tight alley brought back a funny memory of when I was younger. My dad drove through a similarly small/tight alley, and I voiced my concerns as well. He stopped mid-way through it and told me jokingly to get out or stop complaining. I wouldn't have been able to open the car door if I wanted to, it was that tight. Still makes me chuckle.

I moved here for a brief time and although beautiful it lacked diversity and had little to no social life of what I'm used to in California. It's definitely a complete 180 difference. I did enjoy the wildlife and nature though.

No. There is no bad part of town. Crime is low. People by and large are friendly. Logan City Police have a training class and academy, as a result we have a higher than normal police in training. Employment is generally low. There are over 125 restaurants, 15 theaters, 3 Wal-marts.
