The skating rink reminded of the Christmas cards of long ago. That hotel is impressive and creepy at the same time.

At least you have plenty of snow to help with a Christmassy mood. Skating ring with some lights and music. Over here the main shopping streets always get decorated. Lot's of trees and arches over the streets with lights. Music playing. Shop windows all done. They were just about to start decorating when everything went into hard lockdown. Only essential stores open. The half finished decorations makes it look even more depressing. Not very Christmassy outside this year. Though my real concern is for the small "mom and pop" stores. Hope they survive. The Bessborough building is very impressive. Looks very nice in the winter setting like this.
