Downy Emerald Dragonfly (Cordulia aenea) 

Male and female footage of the Downy Emerald Dragonfly (Cordulia aenea), filmed in the New Forest, Hampshire and East Dorset (UK). A very timid species, rarely found in quantities greater than 3 on any one pond, flies alongside bankside vegetation, about 1 foot above the water. Can be seen on Brownsea Island as well as Dunyeats Pond, Hatchett Small Pond and Slufters pond in the New Forest. More info at www.newforestdragonflies.com
