Purchased a doxa sub 200 a couple of years ago , it’s been knocked about and it’s a great watch . Love doxa watches , so underrated

I dunno. Always wanted one but finally went to look at them. Can’t articulate what exactly- maybe didn’t seem to align with price point. Just saying, try to go into store before you buy…. Still a cool design ethos

good advice. have a Doxa sub 200 sharkhunter. have considered trading it a number of times but have never follwed through because the watch is superb on the wrist. Accuracy is good, wearability is great (i have 4 straps, incl. beads of rice) and its just a nice and different piece to own

Doxa manufactures most of their parts in China. They do the bare minimum amount of manufacturing in Switzerland to still be able to have the "Swiss made" badge

In order for a watch to be able to put the Swiss Made label on the dial it must have been assembled in Switzerland, 60% of production costs must have been in Switzerland, and 50% or more of the value of all components in the watch must be swiss made.

Doxa orange is spectacular. If only they’d put out a no date model or at least put the date at 6. Again, that case and their dials are fun, joyful. Alas, I’ll never own one.

seastern is nowhere as good as Doxa. no history, QC is not as good and it doesnt have its own design. Seastern copy anything any everything from Doxa to Rolex to Zenith

I was pointing out they are not "exactly the same" and the quality difference between this Chinese "homage" and a Doxa is large enough to warrant the extra cash for the real thing. just a fact, or at least an observation (after owning several Doxa's and seeing a seastern in the flesh)

politely disagree. my Doxa Sub 200 is not that much less accurate than my Pelagos 42, easier to wear, equally easy to dress up or down and is more robust. it was 20% of the price. plus it looks better than a seamaster 300.

Doxa Sub from Marei era and Doxa now are incomparable. Marei era is 3 level above what Doxa is doing now... unfortunately

@@blicajblicaj Marei's first hit was the 300T reissue which continues to be on the catalog, even if the case of the re issue has not been... reissued. Almost everything was a limited edition with short runs at that time so it seems disingenuous to say they are no longer being sold.

Almost all Swiss watches that aren’t Rolex have parts made from China lol look up Swiss 60 percent law every Swiss watch brand pretty much uses parts from China
