I absolutely love my Sub 200! I have the all white version, and it's the perfect summer do anything watch! Great review, a Rob! I definitely agree with you!
Do you have any strap recommendations? I don't like the look with the rubber or the BoR. I'm also wondering if it'll work at a winter watch for when it's snowing despite its more summer/aquatic vibe
Stop selling me this watch, Rob! 😁 I wish Doxa would have fixed the clasp like they fixed the lume but even with the cheap rattler this model is migthy attractive.
@@Angry_Gnomedo you have more details on this? I just bought a display model from a few years ago and I'm wondering if I should try to get a newer production model instead
@@AndreiGeorgescu-j9p I don’t know when exactly they did but they did definitely improve it. I have one purchased in December of 2023 and the lume is genuinely outstanding, even the bezel insert last through the night.
I absolutely love the Doxa sub200 except for the fact that the bracelet doesn't taper (even gets larger wich is ridiculous) and the rubber strap costs like 500€...
I consider buying the black sub 200. But not sure about the comfort of the straight 20mm bracelet. Would prefer to taper down to 16mm/18mm. Does it wear comfortable?
I might well be in the minority here but I find this doxa too boring. Doxas for me are far more unique and in your face, although packed with great performance. I'd go for the dearer 300t personally.
They improved the lume through these years. This one is on my shortlist for ages, but thickness and diameter didnt convinced me to buy it so far. Also when Sub600 was released I liked it more than 200.Overall Im joining the Doxa Bros Club this year for sure(buying one for my 40th birthday)with 200T or 600T at first, will see about Sub200 after.Maybe theyll downsize it a bit in the coming years too.
I just bought a sub200 that was a display model from a few years ago I think. Are you saying a newer production model in 2024 would be better? Also this is sized to a dress watch, it's 46mm lug to lug
Fun fact . The original doxa was a sharkhunter (11804-4 I believe) and the 200 is actually based on that , and that watch actually came before the sub 300 models , so really by getting a sub 200 your grabbing a more vintage inspired piece .
Love the colourways and I think I like the Sub 200 over the other models, particularly as the hands are better proportioned (I'm guessing the large minute hand on the Sub 200T is for diving legibility). But I'm just not a fan of beads of rice bracelet :(
I’ve had a Sub 200 in Aquamarine for about a year and a half now, I absolutely love it. Just wish there were more bracelet options as I’m not a big beads of rice fan.
