Oh, I definitely like the microscope shots. There's no hiding any imperfections, and those are what give away the quality and care that's gone into the manufacturing. The 70s styling of this one appeals to me too, particularly the chunky slab like case and bracelet.

Microscope YES!!! The super close-up is very revealing. I fully agree that this watch refers to Doxa and the 1970s.

I like the subtle star burst dial, I wonder if the other colourways are the same. Please keep doing the microscope views if you can. You're the only one I know of that does that and as a hobbyists watch maker too I appreciate seeing the printing, lume, and hands up close to see how they're finished. I haven't had a chance to work on that movement yet so it's nice to see up close. Thanks for the review!

I like the logo, not because it’s a great design. I like it because it makes the SanMartin watch, instantly recognisable, even from a good distance. It works well on the crown. I mean the Rolex coronet looks like a six year old drew it. You don’t hear people crying out to change it.

Like it, especially the 4 o'clock crown but wish the second hand was the orange one rather than the minute hand

If a DOXA 300 and a DOXA 600 had a baby…👶. It definitely is not a Clomage. My favorite San Martin is my SN045. It also looks like a Mini Turtle and a 62mas had a baby. It was their first attempt at an “original” design but no one bought it, and it’s discontinued (and like this, I bought it for a steal). But it’s probably one of the best watches they ever made. Outstanding review, Mike. Many thanks. I absolutely enjoy how you use the microscope. Being able to get close and truly see the quality level of a watch is awesome. As for SM, they are truly one of the best microbrands from China, and in my opinion, can compete with many other well established brands.
