This could've been a glimpse at my own future estate sale because just about everything on the walls was something I could see myself stitching. There was so much stitchy gorgeousness, but no supplies or floss or aida to be found on the first day. We went through the entire house looking. (Three hours before the end of the sale, there was a ton of it being held back for someone else. )
There was also an extremely muddy driveway that I got my minivan completely stuck in.

Wow Michelle, those were some gorgeous pieces. That's too bad about the Charles Wysocki piece, but like you said, it's okay. I haven't been to an estate sale in quite a while. Glad that gentleman helped you out of your parking predicament. Glad you got some of the floss holders. Thanks for sharing.

Ooooohhhh those pictures were gorgeous all right! I'm not into doing that kind of work myself but I love love love the results!!! I can only imagine how you felt! I've never been to an Estate Sale...I suppose we have them in Australia? But I feel I could thoroughly find it as a new hobby.

I have only been to one estate sale and it was in a nearby city. And yes even though paved the cars park everywhere. I have been to a craft sale and had to park in the field so many people my biggest fear was to get stuck or have my car bottom out. I did not get stuck but boy did I worry. I should have realized to never go up when the police cruiser was parked at the end of the drive. I never went back to that sale again.

My van has such low clearance that getting stuck is a real possibility. There are some parking lots in town that I won't venture into.
