My goodness, Mel Gibson is so humble and remembering peoples names who are not famous, but recognizes and appreciated their loyalty, or having had a good times together. His very good looks I believe got him into this industry, and his intelligence and daringness, and of course, his talent makes him an exceptional rare individual. Loved the interview!

Oh man...I didn't want this interview to end. Mel is a genius and the way he talks with so much passion and knowledge - he's so intelligent and charismatic...you just can't stop listening. I'm so happy he's back, I love him.

You can tell Mel has a big heart, it comes through in all his films in a way that you won't find anywhere else.

He is so right about the final chase scene in Mad Max 2. It definitely still holds up. It is one of the greatest action sequences EVER.

I think Mel is a great actor and a great director. I love Braveheart, The Passion of the Christ and Hacksaw Ridge. I know he has had lots of controversy but who am I to judge.

This interview was an absolute pleasure to view. Mel makes movies with a glorious gumption that I find so astonishingly rare. It isn't about shock value for the sake of it. It doesn't go to lurid places or show us the underside of people like most movies lazily do while pretending to be profound without being minutely useful. It shows you the daring of people who make worthwhile stands that cost. I always leave his movies feeling more enlightened, processing the material for years, and find them utterly unforgettable. I have to say, Hollywood excoriating him after an anti-Semitic rant while plastered-- with the skeletons in their closets that must keep them on drugs to manage the anxiety of being found out...well, that's a level of hypocrisy hard to stomach. I'm so glad he's risen above it all and continues bravely forward. He has too much in his vast arsenal of talent to bury it.

One of my favourite people on the planet. Such a talented, skilled and evolved man. One of the best people in the history of man to spend time with.

The interviewer did a great job. Quick, informed and relevant questions that kept the convo going easily. You rarely hear Mel get this indepth with his career.

He is amazing. What an incredible person. And these blue eyes of his are something.

He's a relatable man who is brave, imperfectly human and has truth as his goal. He's always engaging and is one of my favorite directors. But that's me.✌

Robert Mitchum was encouraged by his sister as well to try acting at about the same age and he had the same reaction, it was just a lark, a goof, but went on to become one of the most iconic actors of his time just like Mel.

Dear Mel, you are a genius. Congrats on getting through the msmedia gauntlet. Respect. "The Man without a Face" was a milestone for me, and it's still hyper-relevant today.

I totally relate except my life has a different story of course, but as a guy from Australia that was born in the late 70's, open mind & a willingness to learn more. I can never forget the scene in Braveheart when the Lords were not helping in the fight and the disappointment on his face was brilliant! Or in The Patriot when he hugged Suzan! He says so much with his facial expression! He's my favorite actor since I saw him in the Bounty!

This is the best interview ive seen in a long long time. You really made him feel comfortable in an industry kinda way. You really know your stuff. I am not a fan of celebville, but feel that Mel and only a handful of others (Robin Williams for example) are a real blessing to all of us. He is the perfect balance of an artist who has not been corrupted, and still directs his own soul, yet is entrenched just enough to understand how to stay just inside the industry.........just.........with his talent being the adhesive. He his a genius of sorts, and we are very lucky to have him. Well done.

I worked in the film biz in Los Angeles “Hollywood” for 10 years in the Camera Dept. I was surprised at how many actors known and unknown really did hang around the set and ask questions about what we were doing and how it worked. We loved it. Especially since they really only hung out with the camera crew..

I need to compliment the interviewer. Great questions! As for Mel Gibson, the restless soul that he is, the great visionary, who is creating great movies and recreating himself through his movies. I never weary watching him. His face is so expressive that I can see through him.

Mel has always been one of my favorites. His courage to produce outside the studios is impressive, both in Passion and Hacksaw Ridge. His inspirational movies are awesome.

Thank you Mr. Gibson for Passion of Christ . The movie broke my heart for the pain , abused, beating that Jesus took to save us all. To see the pain that the Blessed Virgin Mother endure is also very heart breaking . I have a copy of the movie but just to think of watching it again gave me so much pain in my heart so I don’t have the courage to watch it again.

Mel is a real man, and a real Artist with real big BALLS. I look up to him so much. Hope we can work together sometime soon.

Warts and all I love this man. Absolute uncompromising, balls to the wall legend. Loved his directorial debut The Man Without A Face and his performance in it. Mad Max made him, the world took notice.
