I have watched the interview several times because she is so honest, funny, and inquisitive. In a recent interview following the Golden Globes someone asked “What would you say to twenty year old actors?” Her reply, “keep going.” This veteran and lovely actress is reaping the benefits of believing in herself and steady determination. I’m so glad her hard work is paying off. Well done! Looking forward to watching her for years to come.
Love this. Discovered Olivia Colman a few years back when she was cast in The Crown and have watched everything I could find since. I hope she's retained a bit of her wide eyed nature now that she's experienced such great success.
Mm that’s not a compliment. Carol Burnett has beauty but she’s not classically pretty. Olivia Colman is classically pretty. As far as her capacity as a comedic actress, she’s be amazing. So I guess it could work. Her Crown costar, Helena Bonham Carter portrayed Elizabeth Taylor. HBC is prettier than ET and looked nothing like her but she portrayed her personality perfectly. So it could work I guess.
The interviewer was tedious and asked a load of boring questions. I was looking forward to her disecting what surely must be one of the greatest ever performances.
People don't quite get the format of the interview sometimes. This was not my best work (I don't think I ever really found a way in), however, the conversational format is intentional.
Terrible interviewer. All over the place and asks a question then another then another - not clear what he is asking . Where is he actually going with the interview.
But that's the format of his interviews. It's a conversation. And you have to be quite knowledgeable about the person you're interviewing to be able to pull it off. And I think he does.
