DPD's Finest - Officer Darryl Rainey 

The Durham Police Department continues to celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth as we honor the accomplishments of the department’s Black officers from the past and the present. In this episode of #DPDsFinest, we are highlighting Officer Darryl Rainey from District 2 Squad A.
Officer Rainey was raised in Fayetteville, NC and graduated from Reid Ross Classical School. He then moved to Washington D.C. where he attended Howard University, which is a Historically Black University. He decided to pursue a career in law enforcement and joined the Durham Police Department in 2017.
In this interview, he talks about why he decided to become a police officer, the challenges he sees while on patrol, and the efforts he makes every day to build a stronger relationship between the Black community and police. #DurhamsFinest #LawEnforcement #PoliceOfficer #RiseToTheChallenge #BeTheChange
