@@wylie9999 Yes, it's an entry level camera but to deliberately take features away that the camera could have had for free (from a manufacturing perspective) is unacceptable. you could go on ebay today and buy an x-T2 from 2011 that would be just as competent and that would have a conventional flash hotshot.
@@Ava-wu4qp Seriously, the notion that Canon is withholding features in its bottom-level DSLR is quite hilarious. What folks want? 5Dmk4 features in the SL3? The guys are too stupid drunk to think clearly.
Glad to see you guys are back! That last year "lets include everybody" experiment was so bad I see it's not even on this channel any more (at least I couldn't find it)
I had no idea drunk pictionary got so much hate, I liked it! Still, I enjoy this tradition in whatever form it takes. Thanks for another great year, Chris and Jordan!
It’s back! 👏🏻 Previous format was the ‘wurst’. Now we get everything we loved about the original concept: camera ratings, alcohol, and bro banter. You guys should do the AF Mirrorless test part 2
At the end?...where were you for the first half of the video? Chris takes to alcoholic drinks as Trump does to lying. They both know that they shouldn't, they can't just leave it at one, and they both make a$$es out of themselves after just a few.
Here's how to gauge someone' s maturity... Mature people don't enjoy watching someone get drunk. And they don't get drunk. I quit watching these videos years ago, because I find Chris so annoying. Surely DPReview can do better.
I've bought a 7artisans 25mm f1.8 for 80monies this year. It's terrible. It's got weird blurring on the sides. It's not sharp. Weird colorcast. I took my best pictures with it. I love it. Best lens of 2019
MUCH better than last year. Still, look back at the old TCSTV "best of" and they still feel more festive and natural. You had the perfect recipe back then. Not to say I didn't enjoy the video this year, so all-in-all, good (or at least better) job DPReview.
This is sooooo much better. 2018 End of year video was so cringey. Hey, next year remember to include best and worst trend of the year, doesn't matter if you have tested it or not. Happy holidays guys, you´re awesome.
The old format is back....So much better than last year but not as good as some other episodes I have seen still. But keep this please! i am with Jordan, also on movies btw...
as always, great interplay , non-scripted creativity, and responsible social drinking. For 2020's version, why not inaugurate a post-drinking photog contest between you two? Who knows if alcohol will change how you shoot? Thanks for the channel. Cheers.
This video is so much better than last year when DPReview cheaped out and did the event at the office. I was really worried about you guys after that video. Please have a Merry Christmas and I will eagerly look forward your videos next year.
You two guys are the best most of us look forward to this episode as you keep it light and interesting and very drunk. Merry Christmas, Chris and Jordan to both of you and your Families and have a great New Year and we all look forward to what you will do next in the New Year. The most drunk of this year goes to Ah........Chris!!! You two are the best team in the business!!!

Jordan, thanks for addressing Kieślowski's movies! However, in my opinion, his best movie is 'Blind chance'. It's a real diamond amongst movies! And I bet even Chris will love it, as it's full of surprises. Cheers from Poland ;)
Welcome back Drunk Like Skunks! (aplause and whistles) Brilliant mea culpa Jordan but Larry made Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow when he was dead, so Thor is not much of a stretch.
Haha so much fun to watch. I'm wondering if Kasey will copy this, replacing one of you guys with the cripple hammer and the Martini's with fermented celery juice perhaps :D
@@BenjaminMooreinJapan Nah, it nails Single AF, but for continuous, the fps and hit rate is totally hammered. I wait for Mark II, maybe they can reduce the weight a little, totally unwieldy right now.
@@andreasbuder4417 according to Vision, it is a very well balanced hammer. Yes, it is usually used as a Single AF tool. But in the opening scene of Thor: Ragnarok, we can see Thor using it for Continuous AF on the minions of Surtur. Works very very well. Although Mjölnir and Storm Breaker can only do Face Detect at best, and fails at Eye Detect, but given their size, i think Face Detect is good enough. Btw, the Leica SL2 with the 90-280 mounted does remind one of Mjölnir right? :)
@@BenjaminMooreinJapan Great Face Detect AF. But not Eye Detect yet. That is why Thor 4 is coming. They are making a smaller hammer the size of a spoon that will aim for the eye. Rumor has it, they are calling it The Ynos.
Thought the SL3 might end up as the worst camera of the year, and I'm so glad that it did. It's not an outright bad camera by any means, but the ways Canon crippled the camera (while only adding in a borderline useless "4k" mode) are just unforgivable.
It often is Canon, actually. In fact, I vaguely recall these guys naming the Canon XC10 as the worst camera (or worst from a major manufacturer, at least) they'd ever reviewed on their old show, before they moved to DPReview.
Thanks Chris and Jordan. Full and fun bromance. Branagh will be happy you confused him with Larry. I always tune in for your reviews, but never seen you sozzled before :)
My only suggestion for change for this is that you guys should get sauced BEFORE you start. Its fun watching you slowly get hammered but the best parts are at the end. For more consistency I say you should be hammered for the whole vid ! 😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah and I feel APS-C MF combo makes sense for Fuji too. There is enough difference for the sensor size. The difference between P APS-C and FF is a bit "Meh"
This was indeed a return to your great Christmas special. Thanks for the video(s)..the fun..the reviews.. You're definitely on my top3 for RU-vid photo&video gear reviews. Happy holidays, guys ;) Cheers from Portugal
Sorry guys - the Sigma fp is great! An electronic shutter means less camera shake. Rolling shutter is minimal. Put an image stabilized lens on it and the photos are terrific. The menus are simple and easy to navigate. And the light weight makes it so easy for travel. We need smaller gear for full-frame!
I'd like to, but I don't have much access to dedicated professional video cameras. That's why we removed the 'Best Video Camera' this year. I haven't had a chance to shoot with the Blackmagic Pocket 6K, C500 II, FX9, or Z-Cam yet. Hopefully that will change as we add more video-centric content going forward.
