Yeah now that pf is hitting phase 2 its picking up lmao. So true though going from 6k hps in phase 1 to over 30k 2mins in on phase 2 is ridiculous haha
I love how he raises his hands when they're standing still as a dps as if he's actually the one playing in this clip genuinely dancing while doing the mechs
Nah lmao, healing is easy and boring as fuck in 90% of content. The only exception is week 1 savage and ultimates :p everything else its always a snooze fest to play healer, you almost wish they brought back vulns
Let's be real here as a GNB main / SGE submain. Healing for non-astros below Ultimates just amounts to variations of PREPULLGLARE DIA ASSIZE GLARE GLARE ASYLUM GLARE GLARE TEMPERANCE AFFLATUS RAPTURE GLARE GLARE. Then, omni-healer mains sit and whine about how hard their job is when people with actual complicated Job mechanics mess up trying to dodge 5 boss mechanics during their 20 seconds of having to double-weave and dodge at the same time during 2-minute burst dances.
I mean, E11S and E12S were no slouches in heal checks. But for the most part, a good healer never has to press their gcd heals outside of ultimate tier content.
@@sungiant2000 Just heads up #1 parses for both fights, there is only a 3000hps difference between E12sp2 and P8sp2, despite E12s players having double the stats of P8s players. Mathematically speaking healing in e12s was about half has hard as p8s.
@@moosecat00 consider that existing healing actions have been given potency buffs (such as regen) and new healing actions have been added to the game. Everybody's healing toolkit is much stronger than it used to be, so for the same amount of effort in the rotation you are able to pump out a greater amount of healing. Either way, HPS is not a good way to measure healing output in this game since pressing healing buttons is a trivial matter. What actually matters is how the healing requirements are distributed and how that intersects with mechanics and positioning requirements.
Can we please praise SE for actually making somewhat harder healchecks instead of complaining that it's "difficult". Because SE is just going to backpedal if people complain too much. Be proud of your achievement for clearing an optional difficulty instead of being upset please. Also healing is the same difficulty as every other role. Yes I've healed savage min ilvl and ultimates.
I don't think anyone's complaining about healing being difficult, this meme is more about dps having a very easy time by comparison, aside from a few jobs that are hard becuase of their own personal rotations/restrictions, like BLM
its less about a heal check and more about positioning, there's alot of mechanics where people are spread out and healers need to move in and out in a short time frame to heal everyone. Then maybe one or two people don't get healed because they're slightly out of range or because the casters are trying to greed one gcd and dies then blames the healers because 'where r the heals'.
@@WhiteGryphus This tier honestly had me questioning the purpose of Oblation and Enhanced Unmend. Wish Dark Mind and Oblation were one button or TBN getting an upgrade/change. It's not fun weaving so much.
healer really had it bad.. a little lack of heal and we got scream at, where are the heal? when focusing on topping up, i got scolded saying you could have given more damage... and all the bleed.. let me live...
@@fernandofuentesmoreno5149 it just healer mistake are more noticeable lol. Like for dps oops you mess up your loop and your rotation drifted? Well just blame it on crit variance
Wiped? Where was feint/addle/literally any non-healer mit? Failed dps check? DPS why are you getting clipped by damage down and dying all the time? These are the reasons why there is a healer shortage this tier lol. P.S. Yes I know OP is making fun of the people who always blame healers. I am too lol
Throughout Eden's Verse, Eden's Promise, and Abyssos it was way, WAY easier for me to heal/tank on SCH/GNB/DRK/WHM/SGE than to play BLM/MNK/SAM/NIN to the point it was a snooze fest. Fighting your rotation on DPS without fat toeing something is a mechanic in itself on movement-heavy fights. Now, tank and healer mains get to feel the script flip after DSR and Abyssos. I'm glad I can't just invuln through tank mechanics with a rotation half as complex as a DPS's, or spam Glare with only oGCD healing. This is what having active responsibility for your role feels like, folks.
Back then DPS is harder than tank/healer for sure, for example shadowbringer smn is way harder than WAR or GNB, as an OT main there are some tbs or tank swaps, but I dont really take extra dmg. However mech wise DPS always had it easier, there are more mechs for tanks and sometimes we need to use our mits. Healing was always very scripted as well, if no one dies just a few oGCD heals then its just glare glare glare. DPS got even easier in endsinger and tank/healing got hard in 6.2, which I love, I have to kitchen sink (which you mostly do in ultimates), rotate my defensives cds, still do a lot of mech and do pretty fast rotation, GNB and DRK mostly. I like feeling vulnerable as a tank and the whole fights needs more healing, it feels tense, feels exciting, although somewhat exhausting after 3-4 hrs of raid. A LOT of healers just can't adapt to this new tempo, they can't get-gud simply put, they see its too hard and don't want to try to practice and improve.
yeah, the dps measure in between the jobs are shit, the tank/healer needs to do dps problem still remains and they now seems want to shift that issue, to make healers heal more...without lifting the dps stress
I mean that's kind of the interesting part of being a healer. Balancing all of the incoming damage with still contributing. If I had to only heal I would be very very bored
I don’t see a way other than having the tanks and healers also deal damage to make a difference between good player and bad player how are you gonna make it hard?
@@harakiribanzai2483 Im not saying it is bad, but how they did it was straight pushing healer check up higher, while without lifting any sort of dps stress, they could keep them needing to do dps, but instead transfer some of their dps into dps jobs dps..
@@catfood4142 Nah dude its genuinely not that bad. Healers have so many tools that you will always have a tool for every situation. And if you don't have it then it means you need to reprog some healing in other parts of the fight so you have the most suitable tool for the hardest mechanic to heal. Healing blind is hard, but after it is all figured out healing is easy.
