This video was made in response to DPSquid's ("Somebody's Watching Me" but it's playing in an empty mall at 6:45 pm) video.
⚠ - I HIGHLY recommend everyone to go watch DPSquid's video before watching mine in order for this to make sense to you. Once you watch the video, scroll down in his comment section and take a look at the pinned comment there. After doing that, then come watch this.

A long time ago I had randomly scrolled past DPSquid's video and immediately recognized the video's thumbnail to be of the Hutchinson Mall, which is the mall where I live. I quickly clicked on his video to watch it. After watching, I left a comment explaining where his background picture came from and had got a reply from him shortly after. As many months had passed, I had forgotten all about his video until I got a notification last night that he pinned my comment. I checked the notification and seen my comment had 4K likes, along with a lot of replies from many people. Upon reading those replies, I decided I would go to the mall to film a small tour of it and publish it to my channel so that everyone can see the real life mall that's in the background picture of DpSquid's video. Hopefully this video is enjoyable for others.

Thank you so much man! This is just awesome!! I can't believe I hadn't seen this yet, it's a bit surreal seeing the actual mall lol

No problem. I had thought of doing this right after you pinned my comment and after seeing the large amounts of likes and comments on it. It made me realize there are a lot of people out there who are genuinely interested in stuff like this, so I created this video for those that are.

WOW thats sad... i was kid in 70s 80s 90s spent alot of time in the malls just hangin out and eventually working in a few lol Times have Changed thanks to the internet Walmart and Amazon.. They did this they changed the life we lived.....

I agree there. Amazon, or as I like to refer to them as; Cancerzon, has for sure destroyed malls and small businesses. As for the Hutchinson mall, it's going in an upward trend, despite it's current appearance. Not too long ago, the mall was on a severe decline losing stores left to right, but ever since it was bought out back in 2014, it's been seeing a lot of new stores moving in. The stores that moved in along with the original stores that never left, have all been doing really well and have no plans to leave.

@@RealKansasMan - Towne West & East in Wichita, are just as bad as the mall in Hutch.

@@RealKansasMan - I attended Hutchinson Community Colllege from August 1994 til May of 1999 (lived on campus for two school years and one semester) and during the second semester of my second year and the first semester of my third...I worked at a store in the Hutch mall called *Everything's A $1*. It was around the corner from the Food Court and next door to what was then the music store.

@@bravesrule384 Towne East? That mall is nowhere near a dead mall. That place is extremely lively and is under major renovations. The Towne West on the other hand, is becoming what the Hutchinson Mall turned into. I remember back when Towne West was the place to be. Now it's nearly a ghost towne. That's cool that you've worked at the Hutchinson Mall and experienced it back in its prime.

I was born and raised in Hutch. I remember when this mall opened in '86. It was always packed. And downtown, which used to be always packed, was like a ghost town. From what I've heard, it's just the opposite now.

From what I heard, the mall used to be the place to go when it was new, but now it's mostly dead, but slowly coming back to life. And yes, it is sort of the opposite today where the mall is dead and Main St. is alive. Downtown was revived and restored not long after I had moved here.

Pretty cool you came across his video. Lots of malls here in North Carolina are the same. And when I'm visiting them I do feel like somebody is watching me. Take care K-man✌🏻

@@tammydear8057 It was really cool to see the mall where I live as someone's video background. There are some malls like this around where I live, but most of them in my state are not dead like the one in this video.
