3:18 The rule 10.5.5 says "Allowing the muzzle of a handgun to point at any part of the competitor's body during a course of fire (i.e. sweeping). A disqualification is not applicable if sweeping occurs while drawing or re-holstering a gun, provided the competitor's fingers are clearly outside the trigger guard." To me, it looked like he re-holstered the gun.
Sweeping any part of Your Body with a loaded Gun is a disqualification, it doesn't matter if You are drawing or holstering. The shooter put His Hand in front of the muzzle of a loaded Gun while Holstering.
Could you please specify under which rule you would call a DQ? 10.5.5 - "Sweeping rule" mentions quite clearly that "A disqualification is not applicable if sweeping occurs while drawing or re-holstering a gun". I'm not saying it's the right thing to do, but as far as I can see, this would not be a DQ according to the rule book.
You are right, it would not be a DQ. Personally, I think it is bad form and quite unsafe to use equipment that does not fit well and needs to be fidgeted with, but it is not against the rules per-se.
Norwegin RO here. The RO`s in this video constantly forgetting commands like, "unload and show clear. If clear hammer down holster" before they start explaining why they were stopped. It is as important as stopping the shooter.
A bunch of TOTALLY not made up scenarios with people NOT AT ALL pretending to do stuff they usually wouldn't :) But good video with references to rule book so I'll recommend it !
Yes. Handguns may only be holstered if they are "safe", be it by decocking, or putting the safety on. You can't rack the slide if the safety is on with 1911 / 2011 guns, for example.
Happened to came across your comment, first, in here Hong Kong, citizens are not allowed to own a firearm. Even the real steel ipsc shooters need to leave their gun in the. range. Second, basically only the richest may hv a chance to join those real steel shooting clubs, their fee is fucking ridiculous. Plus you need at least 2 member invitations (correct me if I'm wrong ) to join. Thus airsoft guns is as close as the majority of us can get . And a lot of adults participate in these kinda sport too. So just dun be a dick alright ?ffs. Which one of us doesn't wanna shoot a real gun.
@@gordon4672 Yea that was a typical comment from a guy who is probably from US. Many countries prohibit all the RA handguns (Australia ex) and in some countries getting a license is hard as hell. Even in Finland it takes atleast 2 years of active shooting and if you get the license, you gotta keep it active. Action air is better than nothing for sure.
