This is a series on building the DR-107 One Design (IMAC) r/c aircraft from the Matt Mrdeza plan. This plan was downloaded from outerzone.co.uk.
In this update, construction of the fuselage is continued. The sizing of former F1 (firewall) is hashed out. The fuel tank compartment floors and tops are also added. This also required some detective work as the floor shown in the plan view is not the same size for both top and bottom sections. The aft fuselage formers are added. To do this the fuselage shell is raised off the build table to get the top of the sides parallel with the build table. The empennage stringers are then added. Then, the balsa fuselage sides are added and the fuel tank compartment floors are glued in place.
