Very informative. I'm following all the discussions on the wits channel that you're conducting. I'm more richer now, intellectually that is, compared to the time I started to learn about Black history month and peruse some of the literature by black authors. Keep the information and the empowering coming.
Okay okay hear me out. I think black investors should look into gentrifying townships. But in a way where it’s by us, for us deal. When black South Africans get that job they move out of the township. But imagine building safe, secure, luxury homes, estates, malls, restaurants, schools, private schools, parks etc, just a fully functioning economy booming with business, class and luxury in the townships? We can do it like India did. Then investors wanted to build where there were slums. The government asked those investors to build free housing to relocate those ppl living in slums. So investors would build “section 8” like buildings/houses in a different location. 1) this will bring black rands back into the community, building our own azanya. 2) impoverished black ppl living in slums get to have real homes with running water etc. 3) it forces the shift of economic apartheid to shift from black educated, black skilled, black entrepreneurs to stop reaching out and dipping to white economy and actually feed and grow its own economy and its own privilege and its own community
