I had breast cancer in 2005 and NO ONE TOLD ME TO STOPE EATING SUGAR OF FRUIT. My son tried to tell me to not do the chemo and radiation and to just change my diet, but I didn't believe him. I always said when it comes back, (I had triple negative cancer which normally comes back in 5 years) I would never do the treatment again. It's been many years since I've had the cancer and fingers crossed at this point. Great video, I watch Dr. Barbara often.
These types of videos are the most confusing / exasperating one can find. Other doctors recommend exactly the opposite. Then you find out within a couple of years that these " good hearted " experts are pushing sales either of paid sponsors at the beginning, then these " champions of public health" start cynically pushing their OWN LINE OF PRODUCTS, thus adding to the list of what you CAN OR CANNOT consume if you want to add life to your years. I've seen people develop skin cancer on their left arm and left side cheek, neck, behind ear, and throat ( everything is connected). I'm a few decades behind you but I've recently went on a no carb diet. I eat all the meat/fat/veggies I want and have seen great changes. Hunger levels and portions have actually massively decreased. I do miss sweet coffee in the morning but that is about the only struggle I've found. Give it a week, the first is really rough but it gets much easier after that.

Since I have a sickness, I've been looking for all kind of information to heal my body. And I've been changing everything in my life. It's been challenging, it's not been easy. I eat what I don't like. There's are time when I think I can't go on and pray God give me strength I have to do this. My life depends on it. And I've seen changes and that makes me happy. Hi, sorry...wish you quick recovery. Avoid processed sugar...only eat whole fruit not juice/smoothie cz the fruit has fibre so will get full when eating like 2 apples but juice you may need 4 or more fruits for a glass thats still is alot of sugar. Avoid junk food coz they have so much fats,sugars and salt that cant be tasted coz of the flavours added. Also avoid using vegetable oil and also keep off food that have additives like flavours,preservatives, food colour,emulsifiers,stabilizers etc in short eat real foods and those that youve cooked.

In the old days, patients with cancer were sent home with two big bottles of hydrogen peroxide and told to wipe their bodies down with it twice a day. Before big Pharma started their greed campaign with drugs that didn't work. I've been doing the hydrogen peroxide for a couple of skin spots I'm concerned with and they are shrinking! One of them is a reqrowth of a cancer that my doctor removed. I'm quite amazed with the results. Added to the suggestions in this video should be extremely effective!
The correct statement would be that Dr. O’Neil does not claim to be a MEDICAL doctor. They are all types of doctors. She has a degree as a Naturopathic Doctor. Her basic course of study includes the same biological courses that medical doctors take. I love to learn about anything that pertains to good health. I make a hot lemon tea from scratch every morning after I wake up and drink it all before I put anything else in my body. It's a wonderful way to start my day. Cut up a washed fresh lemon into 8 pieces and make hot water - press out the juice of 1 lemon, into a tall mug, with a spoon and add hot water. Do it everyday first thing the morning.

My dad died of cancer 24 years back. All such information was not available that time. Medical profession was not so advanced those days. Died a very painful death. Wish he could eat all such foods and lived longer life 😢

I had breast cancer 10 years ago. Survived. I did my own research and followed lthis type of diet. The only comment I can make is that if your cancer has hormone markers as in breast or cervical cancer avoid food that has estrogen in it, eg, parsley and soya. Also avoid red meat as this creates an acidic environment.
I went to Ms. O'Neil's 10 day training class a few years ago. Each day a full day of lectures. We ate naturally (vegetarian). It was the best thing I ever did. At the training class we had dinner at 6;15 and it was a small bowl of a tasty and nutritious broth - NO MEAT but a few well-cooked vegetables (celery, bok choy, onion, etc. - all very low sugar). Also you MUSt see the 2017/2018 youtube interviews of Dr. Satchin Panda of the Salk institute by Dr. rhonda Patrick - about time-restricted eating. Panda proved that eating late (specifically have "excess circulating glucose in your blood at sundown) is about the absolute worst thing one can do. Patrick asked him a hypothetical and his answer, I'll never forget, was: "Sadly it is BETTER to eat an UNHEALTHY MEAL DURING THE DAY because eating later in the evening turns even NUTRITIOUS food into JUNK." In the book "Honey Sapiens" it is reported that science knows there is a link between "excess circulating glucose (ECG)" (in general) and Type II diabetes, Alzheimers (also called "Diabetes of the brain") and obesity. That science did not distinguish early vs late eating. If one has ECG during the day, per Panda, the body knows what to do with it because the pancreas will release insulin to get rid of the ECG. HOWEVER, per Panda, at/after sundown the pancreas is "asleep" and doesn't release insulin so that ECG causes inflammation all through the night. And the blood-brain-barrier cannot protect the brain cells from inflammation. Is that why "Alzheimers" is called "Diabetes of the Brain." Wake up people. Plan your life so that you don't have ANY ECG near sundown. That means NO MEAT within 6+ hours of sundown - it takes that long for meat to be fully digested. Eat meat at breakfast or lunch - kind've like Ms. O'Neil's rule (although she is vegetarian). TO YOUR HEALTH.
I'm not a Nutitionist but I have looked into this somewhat. I'm sure there not just one cause for Dementia and Alzheimers. I'm sure there a multiple contributing factors. But from what I understand from multiple sources is Vegetable/Seed Oils are the main cause of these Mental Afflictions as well as the Cholesterol Blocking Medications being pushed by Big Pharma! They all destroy what protections our body has for protecting our Brain which is its Myelin that is composed mainly of Cholesterol. I suggest to stay away from these Oils and Meds! Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO), Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil are the good Oils as well as Beef Tallow for Cooking! I'm not totally sure to whether or not it was Rockafeller and Big Pharma came up with the Big Breakfast (break fast) concept or not but I wouldn't be surprised if it's true. From what I understand, a hundred years (and more) in the past Breakfast was not a big thing but rather a modern concept. 🤷♂️ Also for those interested in Intermittent Fasting, remember that about 14 hours fasting is required! So if we start eating a Hearty Breakfast at 7:00am and plan to include Intermittent Fasting into routine, Supper should be finished around 5:00pm to get that 14 hours of Fasting. Some say 12 hours is okay but 14 or even more is better... Bon Appétit!

I hope I saw this video when 3 people who were so dear to me were battling against cancer. 2 of them resorted to chemotherapy and lived shorter than the prognosis of their oncologists...They were advised to take a meal or diet plan that their medical team believed to be proper or right. 🤷🏻♀️😔💔 I still want to thank the makers of this video. Two years ago after admitting to myself that I'm prediabetic or maybe even diabetic I started very rigorous diet plan as well as fixing all the other life spheres. The aim was reaching the best version of myself. That included no carb, even at the smallest amount, and fasting. Lots of physical activity, but I was always very active. So it lasted for 18 months, I've lost 40 pounds, maybe lost my diabetes and hypertension. Now I'm diagnosed with cancer. Don't know where the truth is. I'm a doctor.

In Sri Lanka our meal consist of wholegrain rice, 2 or 3 vegetables cooked in a dark spicy sauce, 1 or 2 cooked in a yellow sauce, a form of protein which may be either chicken, fish, beef, dried fish and a lentils curry with a dark green leaves preparation called a mallum (leaves are thinly chopped and mixed with chopped onion, green cayenne pepper and grated coconut, it may be slightly cooked by tossing over heat, and when cool it is drizzled with lemon/lime juice.. The reason why there's so much cancer in the country could be due to the volume of synthetic and processed food on the market.
I agree. My grandmother's min diet, and those in her era consisted of ground provisions, mostly home grown, what we call yard fowl, and fish. Goat meat pork and beef was also eaten, but again these were reared at home. Cancer was a rarity.

Yes, I've been on the Carnivore diet since December. My body has made a big turn around. I'm actually Carnivore/Keto. Only meats, chicken, fish/seafood, salads, berries, limes. That's all I eat. I know I was on my way to diabetes, family trait, but now my doctor didn't find anything 😊
