Michel’le penned this number one hit with a little help from Dr. Dre. But, was Dr. Dre the inspiration for this song? Take a look and let us know what you think Watch Unsung: Michel’le this Sunday 9/8c on TVOne! Visit tvone.tv/ for more.
Ashley Wills She had talent I'll acknowledge that. But she would've blown up IMO hell NO! She didn't have that kinda talent. Not to be a star I'm a firm believer of you are what you are. So I believe what she ended up being was the best she could do...
Wait she have a brother that didn’t kill Dre for beating on her and shooting at her... walking around with black eyes and five broken noses????! Was he in jail? Wth
tricksgrl2 her brother did an interview with tmz a few years ago and said that there was a time when he was about to kill Dre, but her,her mama and grandma jumped in and held him back from shooting Dre.
Jameisha where did you here that at cause her brother said that he thought it was thing to do and he use to hit on women as well 🤦🏽♀️ cause they where raised up around abuse. There’s another video after this when they talk about you can go to where it say subscribe at and go through tv one videos and you should see it it’s the 5th video
tricksgrl2 he said it was a normal thing at that time ,and it was, not saying it's right but yea there was a time that women didn't get away with doing stuff like they do now .It's sort of ironic ,that people stayed together during those times and now aint no love anymore between women and men,but back then when a man laid down the rules of the house there were consequences if your woman didn't follow ,I saw it too .Nobody went to jail for that then, especially if you were married .A man can't really be the head of the household anymore ,there is no way to enforce anything like it was then ,times have changed but I can't say it's for the better now .
When you hear Michelle talk about Dre you can still tell that she is still in love with him. Look at her facial expressions and how she light up (the good times). I feel sorry for her. No woman deserve to be beat. Dre you were wrong you broke her. She will never be the same.
I can tell she was scared telling the story behind this song. She went on Arsenio Hall and mentioned the song was not about any of the members in the group but I personally believe damn near every song she sung about heartbreak and pain was based off of her relationship with Dre. That is why Suge decided to change the title and songs on her second album and the album didn't make as much success as her first album did.
Damien Moody yess she did a recent interview talking about her songs being about the pain she dealt with Dre.. also she’s also hinting out she’s dropping an album and get everything off her chest
@von Anthony Why are you even wasting your fucking time bothering me over some shit that happened 2 years ago. Fuck out my face I don't care who wrote the shit. My name ain't Michel'le
it was on the TV One Life After series, which is a shorter version of unsung. She and Cece Peniston were on same episode. go to TV one website, you'll see Adina's part
It was a different time back then, and how most of all of us in her peer group, we could relate by similar experiences happening in our life, it was the crazy norm.......BUT.....the main difference then and now is Michel'le is still a soldier, honest with stellar integrity. In the spotlight, she's keeping it real, while Dre and all of those who complied with the release of "Straight outta Compton ", as the realest story to give to the public, as provocative and entertaining as it was......to not substantially blend in this Goddess Michel'le and her ground work and masterful contribution to the West Coast Rap and N.W.A.'s rise to mega stardom.......man, leaving her story out was....."Staight outta' Bullshit"! And that's not keeping it real 🖓
Gantry Smith i agree but they said the movie was mainly about the n.w.a member's lives a lot of stuff was left out i wasn't really shocked when her relationship with dre wasn't discussed in the movie upon watching that movie the first time i said the same thing it should have been included.
music lover1984 I feel you, but they completely left out her music and business devotion work to the initial development of N.W.A., she was an integral partner from the beginning.
I can't believe her own grandmother instilled in her that a man showing his love for you ment that he beat you. She said she would medicate herself so the beating wouldn't hurt so bad and she would be numb to it.
Man, I loooove me sum Michel'le!!!! Always have. If I had known Dre was beating on her like that, I would've purchased any of his music. Fu**in coward!!!!!!!
I know for s fact dre chose that outfit had her up there looking like a kung foo fighter on pills... its a shame all that abuse and BS she held down for a failed career
It may sound harsh, but a woman chooses her mate. No woman deserves to be abused, but u then marry suge his business partner while he was still married. What choices did u make my Queen in getting involved with men who obviously wasn’t good for u?
Something in My heart ❤️ another masterpiece.. what an incredible singing voice for someone who talks like a cartoon character. No disrespect intended. Cuz she fine as f*** always has been
@@meggiewillis9705 true. But I'm speaking about the surgery and how it makes her sound like her nose is stuffed. I've been a fan since a teenager and well aware of how she sounds since having the surgery done. She most definitely can sing. Just two different things.
@@stephaniejames4940 what surgery are you speaking of? She’s been talking and sounding like that since she opened her mouth and could speak. Her surgery has NOTHING to do with her speaking voice. She had surgery to fix her broken nose that Dre gave her. Make sure you do research before speaking.
Yeah she's always been beautiful. But her nose job changes her face. I watched the video with her and Nate Dogg singing the hook, "let's plaaayyyy hooouuuuse". She was gorgeous in that video. Not saying she isn't still gorgeous, but the features that originally caught my eye are no longer there. Her eyes are still amazing as ever though.
Her nose was the same then. Dre is the reason she had to get a nose job in the first place by breaking it! TWICE! If it was up to her her face would’ve remained the same. Make sure you do research before speaking.
I know exactely where she's coming from, she's been treated badly by guys. Here's the thing I'm a guy and I've been treated pretty bad by women,so much so I've given up on women,I want nothing to do with them.John M Guinto
i feel same and i have been thru hell and back w/young & dumb, blk & white. im over it now and forever. I never found love then so im at a point where i dont believe love exists for me now. Im better loving my own company.
It's ironic because Daz and them said that all you did was get drunk and lie, Michel'le. What's that all about, boo? Anyway, yo' lil' step on _Soul Train_ was cute. That's my jam.
LaChele Daz was bitter at Michel'le because she didn't let him hit. She only was getting drunk because she was getting abused and she had a way of coping with it which was drinking
LaChele who’s them? Lmaoo girl lie for what though suge knight saw how she was drinking and popping pills so he helped pay for her rehab even Tichina Arnold from martin said it as well they had toxic relationship and that’s how she chose to cope with it
At the end of the day you are a woman, right? How would you feel if you were in her shoes? 16 years old falling in love with a nigga who basically only known of you because a friend and someone he was working with needed you to be a female chorus singing vocalist for one of their songs which was a little too grown for your age. After you done the song (without even being paid for your work), you fall in love with a man who been rag tagging your ass for years and you have a son by him. Go to rehab and when you come back he is married although he been cheating on your ass the whole relationship. I am sure if you walked a mile in her shoes you would understand so I find it really upsetting as a woman you will take men side and allow them to call her bitches and hoes and find what she went through to be a lie as they accuse her of being a hoe and a drunk and also accuse her of sleeping around and fucking tupac. That shit ain't right
Damien Moody it was toxic because Dre made it that way michel'le was good to him while he was fucked up towards her several ppl in deathrow said he use to dog the shit out of her so like i said she was drinking and popping pills to cope with it. she even said her self she use to do it to feel numb so when Dre hit her she wouldnt feel the hits
Let's not play bash the man because truth be told Women lie to !!!🍷🍷No man should beat on a women like that, She should have left him. He should have walked away. The first time he did that and the crew new about it. Them as men should have stepped in.
I agree with your first sentence, but I have to say, the guys on the crew didn’t have to step in. It isn’t their relationship, so it wasn’t their business what was going on between her and Dre. That was their personal life. The only men outside the relationship that would have a right to step in would have been her father, brother, or other family member. Other than that, even she wasn’t leaving, so why would anyone else care on her behalf?
victoria larson I disagree with you because I have friends that are like my brothers and if something like that were happening to me they would step in real quick. So with that being said you are absolutely 100% wrong. Also when she did her movie and she spoke about it they did jump in not the way they should have but they did say something to him.
Only 3 stepped up for her. Eazy, Jerry, and DOC. Michel’le didn’t leave because she was taught at a very young age by her grandmother and family that if a man doesn’t beat you he doesn’t love you. So she was mentally messed up on the love part. But realized years later that she actually wasn’t being loved and she finally broke away from Dre.
@@lovebuglovebug5874 you watched her movie then you should know she wasn’t mentally right when it came to live because she was taught WRONG! There’s only so much the guys could have done. They tried helping but she wouldn’t leave so they eventually just minded their business. She wouldn’t leave him alone. Stop blaming others.
I love her n I don't mean to be mean but idky she said shes not positive bc .. that skin rash on her chest .. looks very HIV positive like .. sorry .. he gave it to dre.. she has two kids w two hiv Aids patients one dead one alive.. .. yeah ok .. love her still tho
Girl atp you’re just talking and don’t know shot about what you just stated and sound dumb asf ! What “rash” are you seeing? And if you’re speaking on Eazy NONE of his 11 kids nor 9 babymothers were HIV Positive. That man was killed off.
Trust me white People get more plastic surgery then black people from all the housewives shows to talk show host it’s not just the brothers & sisters and michel’le have her nose broke so many time by dre so she had her nose done
Mickeyy Smoovee you are right. I am only referring to the pinch she got to make her nose look more Caucasian when there was nothing wrong with her original nose. she could have gotten the doc to put her original face back on
If she didn’t like it, she didn’t like it. There is more to black people than a nose shape. She isn’t obligated to keep a feature she isn’t happy with. Her body, her money, her choice. It isn’t like she bleached the hell out of her skin, dyed her hair blond, and just went reverse Rachel Dolezal on everyone.
I know this is a very late response but her nose had to be reconstructed after dr Dre broke it the second time after breaking it the first. It’s easy to say should’ve gotten her old nose back but you never know the full extent of the damage that was caused. Speaking from an experience from my mother breaking her nose. It had to be reshaped due to the severity of the break
Honey let it go obviously you liked it cause you kept coming back and never reported it so no more tears left for you just move along be happy with your movie and your success on your music..
Darknlovley Davis you don't know what you are talking about, never tell someone to get over their pain. Would you tell that to your mom, sister, or better yet your daughter?!
She didn’t “like it” she was brought up as a child to think of a man beat his woman it was love. And she “thought” she really loved Dre when this was going on. Plus her grandma who raised her and gave her those teachings told her to keep taking the beatings. But she learned later on. It wasn’t love it was abuse. She was getting abused mentally physically and emotionally. Just be happy she got out of the situation alive and can tell her story.
