For real ..I literally just watched the movie and I have completely changed my mind about Dre ,don’t even wanna listed to that woman beating asshole ..how any man could ever lay his hands on a woman is beyond me 😤😠
That part in the movie when Dre crawls up in the bed and she thought he was gonna start kissing her but he actually starts beating her......Man , that broke my heart !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was like “what the fuck?” Seriously, what was going through his head. He just started treating her horribly out of the blue, it didn’t even make any sense. Just evil!
😢 It fills me with so much rage I never watched it And yk how the imagination of the mind is capable of making things worse than what it is I'm just hoping it wasn't as bad as im imagining it, cause this is very upsetting
I don't think D Henny meant that as an insult. You don't go through that kind of hell without being psychologically damaged. There was something about the way she spoke about how The D.O.C would tell Dre to stop hitting her but wouldn't do anything to intervene kind of stunned me. She said she appreciated him for that. I would have a hard time not being resentful of the men (and women) who witnessed my abuse and did nothing. But maybe her process for healing is to just let all of that go. I don't know, but either way, I'm glad she's speaking out.
When she said “ I was a terrible mother. Not in a bad way but in a common sense way to know how to raise a child” THIS IS WHAT my generation neeeeddss to understand Your not bad but baby some things just don’t need to be around a child I proud of Her for being women enough to take ownership of her mistakes ❤️❤️❤️
I wonder if Michel' le has ever received counseling--she seemed almost non-chalant about the abuse she suffered, you can tell that she has been used to being abused. This is so sad!
@@TheBellehaitian I don't think she's "ok" with the things that happened to her. I just think she wants to put it all behind her and have a life she can be proud of and be happy.
I'm glad Wendy called Dr. Dre out. No one calls him out about those public beatings on women. There were many people that witnessed the Dee Barnes beating.
the movie probably won't be seen now since Dr. Dre's legal team is HOUNDING her and sending her threats/ making public statements about the film being stopped from being released.
+Analee i think Sony are ignoring him, they put a statement from Dre at the end of the movie where he pretends he never touched Michel'le, once. I think as long as they use it then it's going to be fine to air. I *hope*
Here is a saying You reap "What" you sow "More" than you sowed and "Later" when you "Sowed" it,. When you dont tell the truth, and denied the truth, Situations "Always" have a way of coming back to you in life and "will" affect your family, especially when you have daughters,( and you better "Pray" they don't) will meet an abuser that will abuse "Them" in their lifetime. Also not to mention that "Abusers" will get old too,and will find themselves being abused by others in a place( Nursing home, etc) that they do not have a choice to be in. We "All" will either reap good consequences or bad,and that depends on the "Choices" we make throughout our days on this earth. #ITISTRUETHATOURSINSWILLFINDUS
Michelle is actually funny in this interview. She is a strong woman to have an upbeat attitude after all she went through & very bold to expose insight of her ill treatment. I'd think I'll eat a steak while I watch the movie to contribute congratulate Michelle for her having this movie out.
This movie was amazing. Moving, well acted, riveting and by far the best lifetime movie i've seen! You can tell she was so involved in the film and her spirit and story are inspirational. As A woman that was in an abusive relationship for 6 months watching the movie made me sob and get the chills, she portrays the anger, loss and devotion/ attachment you feel towards your abuser so perfectly. Thank you Michel'le for being a warrior for all women! We salute you!
i wish she would have reported both of them women beaters. She so beautiful and honest and I am glad to see her back on the scene and and looking forward to her coming back on top. I love her song Something in My Heart!!
Sometimes when you report them they get more violent some of us don't make it out alive. It's a certain way you have to leave relationships like that. Especially when kids involved you want to stay alive for your babies
That movie had me in tears, I knew she was abused. But my ass was crying like a big ass baby, I could understand why he wouldn't want the truth out smh. But she's a survior and has a beautiful spirit
ummmmm who knows if she had wound up with Easy she may of died of aids also. Or you never never know maybe if they had gotton together he never would of died of aids we will never know
Sickening how ppl blames the victim by asking y they stayed. Do some research. It's a brainwashing, gaslighting game. Before long, she'll/he'll start believing she/he deserves it and it's her/his fault. She'll/He'll feel completely trapped bc leaving is more dangerous bc most deadly domestic assaults happen after the break up.
That smile at 5:05, you can see her appreciation that people are finally recognizing her suffering and how it's seeping in, what an inspiring woman to overcome so much.
I hate abuse entirely....yet, I couldn't stop smiling and giggling listening to her answer Wendy and I don't know why and not because of her voice but due to her bubbly effervescent personality and blatant honesty. Even placing blame on herself as a mother...the anger I was feeling about what happened to her by these men subsided as I listened and experienced being touched by an angel, like her spirit was saying its okay, I'm alright. I was consistently left just feeling so happy like she wasn't even being asked difficult questions at all about abuse. The light in Michel'le is so entirely bright and joy bringing that it had to provoke the demons in these men to sheer rage that a heaven sent angel was before them and Thriving. It was like her inner spirit was resistant to be enraged and had a message to bring, they couldn't touch it, though they touched her in the flesh. Voice like the choir of heaven, angels do walk among us and we judge them But the way they carry themselves thru life's opposition judges and teaches us in the end.
at first was sooooooo annoying. But now i love it shes so cute! lol But i love how honest she is with herself and doesn't mind telling ...Alot of people wouldn't do that..she's so strong
Watching this in 2022… WOW! What an interview. God bless you Wendy, please come back. Lord, please bring Michel’le back with her voice. This generation has no idea how powerful she is.
She is soooo cute and adorable. I can relate to her. I actually grew up in the eighties in the LBC and I know the lifestyle. Michel le keep your head high be calm and carry on. God got you and you will find true love like I did
He needed a mental health assessment. That type of deranged behavior is born out of some childhood experiences. He's too familiar and unbothered by it. Demonic
@@debrahudson6324 No, he needed time in prison. Shug Knight hit her one time and never again. I don't care what happened to him as a child, inexcusable. I guarantee you had Dee Barnes been white, he would not have looked at her funny.
I LOVE HER SO MUCH.. She is so positive and honest. Her personality is awesome. This is her truth (THE REAL TRUTH) NO JUSTICE NO PEACE :) Im Rooting for you sistah!! :)
This is the story people need to hear. Women back then couldn't report what was happening because back then it was different. It's sad that she had to think that men hitting her was the norm. I am sure why a lot of women who are in relationship with power men like Dre and Suge who can't say much because there was nothing at that time she could do. I'm so glad that she spoke up. Like Tina Turner, I'm glad she's a survivor. This interview as good. Wendy is right no point.
sweetlikez I agree, back then men would make the argument that a woman deserved it . I hate to think about the number of women who did not survive. I hope she is getting counseling, because when she said "I was already doped up so it didn't hurt," and she was serious, it is obvious that the abuse has a huge affect on her on a much deeper level than most.
#Michel'le should do stand up, she gives great Interview and with all that pain she had to ordeal through life sometime you just have to surpass it all and cry no more but laugh, she should do stand up #blessed you mama!
Her movie was incredible. I saw it while I was incarcerated and in an abusive relationship. If it helped me, it's helped so many others. Thank you Michel'le. She's truly someone that girls, and women, can and should look up to. I cannot imagine how strong she had to be to get through everything she's experienced, even the things like her addiction. Her honesty and transparency about the mistakes she's made with substances and early motherhood is extremely commendable, especially for all the judgement and harsh words she must get for it at times... I can't express how happy I am that she made it past... well, her past. She's not just living, she's thriving, and she's really an inspiration to me. I wish I could tell her all that her own bravery and strength has done for myself and my own. I could go on... But I'm just going to leave it with the hope that her life continues to be beautiful, that her children grow up to be as strong and as intelligent as she is, and that if she ever has days where her past doesn't seem so far behind her; that she finds healing and even more strength (than she already has) in the fact that myself and many others have heard her story and that it has made a tremendous impact in our own recovery from substance abuse along with abusive relationships. ♡
I've never seen or heard about her before but I love her. She's so honest and I love how she's so open to talk about things that happened to her that were bad. Her voice is soooo cute!!! Thanks Dillon for uploading this ❤️👍
She is BEAUTIFUL and I love love love her talking voice as well as her singing!!! She is one of our Black Queens who did not get her due as a singer but I'll always LOVE her!!!
Thank you for uploading this. Michel'le seems like such a good person. Like she is in such a happy place. Glad she is getting the chance to tell her story.
I watched the movie and it was sad, my mother got the same treatment, Michele'le is a beautiful spirit. No one should have went through what she went through, and their are millions of women going through this now. Please get out of these relationships, if your in one now.
Omg...I did not know Michel'le went through so much. My goodness!! Glad she survived it all. I loved Michelle's music. Hope she comes out with more music. That would be wonderful.
she is absolutely honest and I love that. not many people expect a female that has gone through that to open up. even if you know you deserve better and you have been with someone for a decade..it's so hard to walk away..especially when you have a kid. I commend her for speaking up and I feel everything is done at the right time and this was the right time..they didn't want her in the straight outta compton movie because it would have tainted everything but I enjoyed that lifetime movie..it didn't even feel like a made for tv movie at all
