Dr. Schwartz is correct. When I was running to swat a flying roach, I got my right leg caught up in a basketball l and suffered a fracture to my right ankle. When I went to the emergency room, the doctor argued that I needed to have surgery and have a pin put into my broken ankle or else my leg would not heal up right. However, I knew that I had strong bones, because I have always been active as a teacher, and live in a 3-story house and go up and down steps all day long, which keeps my bones strong, and do not eat much salt or meat. My leg healed up completely without any operation and that was about 25 years ago.
