They're always be conspiracies because there is truth to them. In fact most of the time the main story that is portrayed to the public that people are convinced as the truth come to find out sooner or later most likely it's not even what's going on or true and then all of the so-called tender foil conspiracy theorist side of things end up being exposed as more of the truth than what's mainly told. @@grapentine739 because we use a process called Science. earlier in the pandemic we didn't know if masks would be helpful or not because we simply didn't know much about the virus. Also early in the pandemic, there was a huge shortage of masks that were effective for nurses and doctors. Later on we learned that the virus spreads through water and water particles, so we found out that masks can reduce the spread by limiting how much we spit on each other when we talk. we update information all the time when we learn something new.

When I was young during the 1950's the biggest fear was polio. There were pictures of children who had to live inside of iron lungs so they could breath. When the Salk polio vaccine came out I got it along with all my classmates. I never got polio and neither did anyone I know and today polio has been eradicated. I was also vaccinated against small pox and all the other common diseases and I never got any of those either. I'm now 67 and still pretty healthy.

Important difference is that vaccines for polio and smallpox are inactivated virus or live cattle virus and this is used for a long time. On the other hand most of SARS-CoV-2 vaccines are mRNA vaccines that have never been used before so we don't know if in a long-term there isn't some major flaw. This is why the usual testing procedure is many years long.

@@LeonBosset I am not against the vaccine for endangered people like seniors, obese people, doctors, hospital staff etc. For the rest of population the virus is only dangerous if the person has serious immunity or respiratory issues that they might not be aware of. These people would however died from any other contagious desease. To your 'half the world' statement: I live in a country that values safety over money so it has free healthcare and a lot of hospital beds so our mortality rate is 0.15%.

What does Fauci say about the friend I have who's uncle died right after getting the C vaccine, the friend I have who's co-worker was hospitalized right after getting it and died there 2 weeks later, the friends who have family who have had a heart attack immediately following getting their vaccine, or my friend who was hospitalized 3 times in the 2 weeks following her first Pfizer vaccine, thought she was going to die, and has been trying to get better from the liver issues, heart palpitations and high blood pressure she's now had for months since? This is just to name the few I can think of off the top of my head, there are more I know. On the other hand, I DON'T know anyone who has been hospitalized from Covid or died from it.....common sense says something is off here and we should think for ourselves instead of this shady agenda that's being pushed.

My wife is a Respiratory Therapist. She has seen more than her share of death from COVID-19. She is forever traumatized and changed from the last year. They talk about the nurses who are there,but my wife is one of the unsung heroes of this whole pandemic. I have spent weeks and months without her, as she was off, working in the heart of the heavier hit areas of Washington state and Oregon. I have spent sleepless nights, worrying if this would be the night at work she would get exposed. May all of our health care workers receive a special place in heaven for all they've done.

Faucci failed to emphasize that the larger the pool of non-immunized population, the greater the rate of viral mutation. The more mutant strains, the more likely one or more will be more lethal or more communicable. Also, helping out India and other parts of the world, while certainly a moral imperative, is simply practical, since the US isn't isolated in space, and infections elsewhere will inevitably turn up in the US as well.

@@killerskullofdeath - Wow... experimental gene therapy. That sounds totally impressive. Genes are segments of DNA in your body that encode for proteins and perform other regulatory functions. Those genes are grouped into chromosomes. You get two sets of chromosomes, one from each of your parents, which in your case won't differ greatly, since they were siblings. Since the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines do not use any DNA and do not affect any DNA, they're not actually gene therapy of any kind, not even remotely. As far as experimental, this isn't something new that we just thought of a few weeks ago. mRNA has been experimentally investigated for about a quarter century. And the covid vaccines were trialed in some of the largest multinational trial studies on record. This stuff is less experimental than a Honda Accord.

Pfizer didn't develop the vaccine. It was developed in Germany by a small research company BioNTech, founded by second generation immigrants from Turkey. They received a grant by the German government. They cooperate with Pfizer for production and distribution.
