'Down by the jetty' refers to the piers at Canvey Island on the Thames where the oil tankers used to tie up. 'Praying for a drop of rain' - it's one of the driest parts of Britain. 'Sky is full of aeroplanes' - when written it was on the flightpath to Gatwick but now Canvey's also on the flightpath to London City Airport.
@@peterbenson336 Right well that makes it three then because when I go into Gatters we go right over my place and then we turn left at Bough Beech. Couldn't the straight down the river be London City because thery're only little ones and they're low on finals.
The silly kids of today on the guitar, couldn't even think of that guitar style...... nope. No pick, no effects, just straight up crazy ass finger playing
Unfortunately, the entity legally entitled to call themselves Dr Feelgood have re-issued a lot of original Dr Feelgood stuff and insist on adding the misleading "(2005 Remaster)" without stating when the original came out. Bastards.
haaa yeah on oil city confidential they mention that Sparko is wearing an old wedding suit with large flared trousers & he said its what you call a bastard suit....
