I have been using Dr G sunscreen for over 2 years. They definitely changed the formula in 2021, the pre 2021 formula was more matte and the new one is more moisurizing, I would not say it’s shiny, but a nice soft finish that does blur pores. I personally like the new formula better since less white cast, not drying and great for reapplication. I really think it is your foundation that is making it appear more shiny. You need to wait a bit longer to let the sunscreen to set then it will lose some sheen and film before you put on your foundation. I actually LOVE this sunscreen and it is my goto daily sunscreen. But I don’t think it will work with darker skin tone due to the slight white cast.
Tina if I may ask what is your skin type? I have dry skin and worry this might be too drying but I'm looking for a no tinted sunscreen to lighten my tinted SPF. Thanks.
Hi, Just found you today after looking for reviews on Trinny London. Enjoyed all the videos I have watched so far. Lovely calm eloquent voice. I will subscribe and catch up with more. Thanks 😊
I have tried it too. It leaves a white cast, my face feels a little tight. I haven’t tried putting foundation on top because I feel it wouldn’t stay. Yes, it has a feeling of film. I prefer Japanese sunscreen
i have crepey skin on the center of my neck, which i can hardly even find a moisturizer to diminish it, but a sunscreen given to me by my doctor almost completely diminishes it while it's on. it's expensive but i'd run through a burning building to save it, lol. it's called Neora Invisi-Bloc. i don't know enough about ingredients to determine how it hydrates so well but i absolutely love it. just thought i would share. take care!
You are using the older version, which doesn’t have a “+” in the name, and which is thicker and less moisturizing. The older version uses Titanium and Zinc and has an herbal scent, the newer version only uses Zinc and is thinner and unscented. Definitely try the newer version too, which leaves less of a white cast. I cant use the older version because I’m horribly allergic to one of the plant oils in it and it makes my skin itch and peel!
I love your sunscreen reviews! Paulas choice and innisfree are my favorites, although PC is a little dryingin winter. After a dozen foundation samples from sephora have all been fails.... I finally ordered the reboot to try. I've not been able to sample it as the closest stores don't carry it. 🤞
I’m glad you spoke about the tingle you get from zinc. I get it too! But I thought I was weird. Glad it’s not just me. I’m on the hunt for a truly matte-finish SPF that plays well under foundation and helps mattify my skin a bit. I’m really shiny but matte foundation clings to the texture on my skin and makes me look old. Dewy foundations definitely look better, but also make me crazy because I don’t like shine. It’s a struggle. Thanks for this review! I really enjoy your sunscreen & foundation reviews.
@@PamperedWife I find that one too drying, and it burns my skin when I apply it! I do know some people love it, though, and it supposedly wears well under makeup.
it's normal thing that you feel like film sit on top of your skin from korean product, because thier climate so cold and very dry it's the reason why korean product always leave occlusive film sorry for my bad gramma 😅
